Just ridiculous for a child to have that goes to school and would be made fun of and also I don't think healthy for little girls to be dying there hair all sorts of stupid colors. Direct reflection of the parents not setting the example. Also I have a daughter and she has never wanted to dye her hair

Before the “rainbow” was co-opted by those whom had no right to claim it for themselves this would have been innocent. Now it is not. There are implications that come with the “rainbow” today. Implications that have stepped away from innocence.

This would only be acceptable as some kind of Make A Wish situation. In 2 months there will be very obvious roots so you’ve either gotta keep it going or strip her hair down to get it back to normal which is so damaging.

I would allow it if I could afford it 😂😂 I have a philosophy that my children’s bodies belong to them, and as long as what they want doesn’t harm them, it’s up to them. Had big fights with the grandparents because my oldest son likes his hair long. He doesn’t think he’s a girl, he doesn’t want to be a girl. He just likes having long hair. It’s his head. They can dress how they like, they can have whatever hair they want. They’re all developing their own personalities in their own way. I would rather not expose them to the chemicals in the dye but my whole fam including my husband thinks I’m a crazy hippie anytime I talk about that, so I don’t think I would win the argument.

So cute!! Colorful hair is for kids more so than adults. Just my opinion. Certain career paths don’t allow for “unnatural“ hair color.

When my son was 11 or so, he wanted to dye his blonde hair brown because Harry Potter. I explained to him that as a brunette myself, I paid a lot of money to make my hair blonde. Dad said, “if you’re gonna dye your hair a color, at least make it worth it.” So we dyed it blue. Then it faded to a lovely purple until ending magenta before we shaved it all off. (It was summer.)
