We have the Welisizwe Rural Bridges Programme to address such issues in rural areas. The programme is a success and SANDF engineers are doing their best to fast track the building of more bridges. Again, in the Eastern Cape in particular, a number of new schools have been built and handed over to communities to ensure that learners do not have to travel long distances when going to school.
