I would rather be poor forever

I work 7 days a week 8-12 hour days to give my wife the option of staying home with our kids. It is the greatest honor I could ever have.

There seems to be one reoccurring argument in favor of daycares and thats “the children need socialization”. Ok sure but not at a soul crushing factory for 9 hours a day with a bunch of other children with severe attachment issues too and disgruntled staff that don’t think about your child one time after they clock out. Socializing comes from walks/parks/children museum trips with mommy in short bursts before they go back home - the stable place they should be spending the bulk of their awake hours. But sure, you send your offspring to that germ colony you pay how much for? Damn.

“The children need socializing!” he types into his phone waiting in line at the grocery store, ignoring the smiling baby nearby trying to make eye contact with them

Poor is subjective. I had five kids on my husbands e4-e5 military pay which isnt a lot even by todays standards and a lot of days we had to eat cheap soup, we had to buy things on Craigslist and at goodwill. I never had designer clothing and accessories or the latest phone. I was just surrounded by my kids and my mind was at ease about how they were cared for. I knew my husband loved me and the kids. I feel thats a pretty rich life.

Amen

What did feminism get women? Instead of working to make a loving and stable home, they're working for someone who doesn't GAS about them while UN-carers raise their children.

You think parents just wake up and casually decide to put their babies in daycare? Most of the time, that decision comes after long nights, hard conversations and sometimes tears. Some parents go to work not to build wealth or chase luxury, but to keep the lights on, pay rent, and put food on the table. Putting a child in daycare does not make someone a “shitty parent.” It often means they are doing the best they can with what they have. Parenthood is already hard without strangers judging and reducing complex decisions to insults.

Real 😭 Man… this video made me appreciate my wife so much. Our daughters are 4 and 2 and she never even considered putting them in daycare.

So happy that my wife stayed home to raise them while I went to work so that my kids didn’t have to get partially raised by strangers in a daycare.

Generations of children raised by strangers so women can have bullshit “make-work” soul crushing office jobs. The worst part, most of what they make goes back into daycare.

Daycare is fine, you trad weirdos.

I'm very sorry I ever put my children in daycare and I won't let my grandchildren go to daycare ever.

They really psyopped generations into suppressing their motherly instincts to do this and be tax cattle instead of raising their children 🥲

Working so you can pay strangers while you work to watch your child in their most important developmental years is psychotic and Jewish.

They're sent there day after day, 8-9 hours a day or more, for years. Years.

Quit my job and stayed home for six years until my son was in first grade. No way I was going to have someone else care for my baby.

It was a mistake normalizing day care, And of course now they want it government subsidized

@CassandraRules All those kids looked pretty happy until their parents showed up

Leftists love daycare; it destroys the family.

Grandparents! If you have ANY disposable income/savings, cancel that stupid trip to Belize or wherever, keep that vehicle for a few more years, don't waste money on a pool in your backyard, F the idea of a vacation home, and instead try to match the take-home earnings of your married sons or daughters that desperately want to be able to have themselves or their spouse stay home to raise their children (and even have more!).

To finally release the emotions when their safe person shows up…you know they’ve been feeling it all day. Poor babies. I regret daycare for my kids.

@tokenized_cro I worked like a dog to avoid this when my kids were small. 10 years of endless hours, weekend work, extra jobs to fill in the gaps to make sure she could stay home with them. We were poor, but I regret nothing.

Yep. Poor materially, perhaps. Actually wealthy in the things that matter though

You know it’s not easy for the parents too, some didn’t have any other option.

Horrifying. Those sweet babies have been unloved all day. They learned to hold in their tears because no one cares. Then when they see their mommies they let it all out. Truly heartbreaking that parents dump their babies in day orphanages.

I can hardly watch this. It's so heartbreaking. Please people...they have ONE childhood. The only reason for ever using daycare is if you cannot even pay the rent or keep the lights on and HAVE to work. In the U.S. our idea of poor is very skewed--if you go to Starbucks even once a week, you're not poor. Do everything you can to stay home with your children. Pour yourself into the best, hardest job you'll ever do in your life. You won't regret it. Jesus, please change people's hearts. Children are a gift. Always a gift.

Same

When i was a kid i remember findingit weird how anxiously attached some other kids were with their moms. I never knew why. My mom could leave me for a few minutes and i always knew she would be back. But perhaps those kids were so anxious because they were daycare babies.

Are you kidding? Those kids love playing with those other kids. There were days that I went to pick up my daughter and they were doing tball and she wasn't ready to leave! She had birthday parties with friends EVERY SINGLE weekend from the time she was 1 years old till 5 years old. I love the people I met from my daughter's daycare. They were an awesome community!

My husband worked two jobs after I had our first baby bc I didn’t want to go back to work. The second they placed her on my chest, I knew I couldn’t leave her with anyone else. No regrets.

After 27 years as a police officer, was going to do 30 yrs, I retired a week before my first grandson was born just so I could take care of him and save my daughter and her husband from having to pay daycare costs. My daughters, I have two, never got to meet my father as he passed when I was 9, I’m 60 now. I didn’t want my grandkids growing up and seeing me in a picture wondering who I was. I now have 3 grandkids, I’ve taken care of all three. Love is about sacrifice, not money.

So sad. They genuinely felt they had been abandoned. How traumatic.

Heartbreaking. Watching my youngest thrive at home has radicalized me against this.

It's heartbreaking, but it is helping them. Kindy in small doses is great for people skills, motor skills, taking direction from others. Babies, no.

This broke me.

We never once put our dog in kennels or with dog sitters. She was our responsibility and I wasn't going to trust total strangers to look after her. It was inconvenient, but 100% worth it. Now she's no longer with us we can travel and do other things we couldn't do before. I'm not leaving babies or toddlers with random people all day either. I will work from home.

The strangest thing is people post these videos as if it’s some sort of cute reaction.
