I wrote I Disagree because people keep telling me the same thing, no matter their politics: they're exhausted by ideological silos and actually want to talk to each other again. That's what the show tries to model, a wild cast that disagrees on plenty but still shows up for...

But Jesse Watters is exactly the last person I'd want to debate politics with. Or even just discuss them. He's a bad faith retard who has zero integrity. Same with GG.

Except when one of the people is Watters. He's an attention whore who says whatever gets him most play.

You sit and "debate" people who do not believe in or act on those beliefs. It's all disingenuous. You sit next to a closeted queer adulterer who claims manliness.

Jess- if you didn’t indulge so much in pop-up polls or defending liberal causes I’d be inclined to read your book. Nevertheless you are an elegant lady with a lot of ‘tiger’ in you

David Goggins: "It's so easy to be great nowadays because most people are weak" "People need purpose to perform. But you need to get to a point in your life where there's nothing on the docket, no race, no classes, no nothing and still perform to the highest level. Because one day, that thing's going to come up. And if you're not constantly performing without purpose, you're not going to be ready when the time comes." Goggins explains the real purpose: "We're all looking for this magical thing called purpose. But what's funny is the purpose never leaves us. Because the very purpose is you. You are always the purpose. If you wake up in the morning and you don't want to do something, you don't care enough about yourself. That's what you need to research. The number one purpose in life is to better oneself. That's the only purpose I need." On what gets him out of bed: "I know every other person ain't gonna do what I'm gonna do. That's how you level up. That fires me up. That makes me happy. There are so many people with ability who refuse to get off that couch. Refuse to study a few more hours. Refuse to go deeper, go further. That's where I gain the advantage." Goggins continues: "It's so easy to be great nowadays because most people are weak. Most people don't want to go that extra mile. Most people don't want to find that extra because it sucks. It's miserable. It's lonely. I used to hate that loneliness growing up. Now I thrive in it. That's the only place to be." On how to stop feeling sorry for yourself: "You have to want it. You have to want to be better. And it starts with this: you have to have pride in yourself. If you have no pride in yourself, I can't give it to you. Because you're always going to compromise. You're always going to fold. Always." Goggins shares how he holds himself accountable: "Every place I went in the military, there was this ethos about how we're going to live, how we're going to represent ourselves. I made one for myself on how I want to be. If people can make up a mission statement, an ethos they want to live by, and every morning wake up and hold themselves accountable to that mission, not a company's mission, your own, now you can work with somebody to get better. But until you know what you want to stand for, you will always just be sitting down. You'll never stand for anything." He concludes with his definition of "Roger that": "Received orders given. Expect results. Above and beyond. More than was expected. That's what Roger that means to me."

Here's that remarkable quote from JD Vance during the #NewsNation #VanceTownHall about civility: "We've got to be better at communicating and talking to one another. The biggest thing I worry about and we talk threats to democracy -- that's a term that you hear a lot -- to me, the biggest threat to democracy is the rising tide of censorship. The idea that we should be trying to silence our fellow Americans rather than persuade them and talk to them. That's always going to -- that's always going to lead to people being pissed because they don't like being told what to think or what to say. They like to talk to one another and that one thing that I'll always commit to. As your vice president for the next four years, I'll always try to talk to people. We'll go out there and do events with people who disagree with us. We'll answer questions from people who don't always see eye to eye, but I think if we set the tone from the top, the leadership of this country is all about communicating with one another, I think that's how we start to heal the divide, but we all have a role in it. And one final point I'll say about this. You know, don't get too personal all the time, but you know, one of the things I've seen, especially from, you know, some of my wife's friends and some of my friends is they disagree with us on politics sometimes they'll get very personal about it. And, if you're discarding a lifelong friendship because somebody votes for the other team, then you've made a terrible, terrible mistake and you should do something different. Like, don't -- don't cast aside -- like, most of my family obviously is going to vote for, you know, Donald Trump and JD Vance and if they're not, actually, I need to talk to them. But -- but I've got friends who like me personally -- acquaintances who aren't necessarily going to vote for me. That doesn't make them bad people. And you can't -- this is my important advice, whether you vote for me, whether you vote for -- for Donald Trump, whether you vote for Kamala Harris, don't cast aside family members and lifelong friendships. Politics is not worth it. And I think, if we follow this principle, we heal the divide in this country."

“You're not entitled to get what you want. I love you. You're entitled to earn what you're willing to go work for. And that's true in our families, in our parenting, in our marriage, in our companies, in society. If we want it, go earn it. If that's positivity, have positivity. I think and I am a positive person. I am jacked. I am excited. Obviously, you can feel my energy through technology here, I hope. Frankly, think positive people just need to get a lot stronger. I really do. I mean, I don't want to call them weak because people hear that differently but it kind of is. Look, if you want that positivity to stick, you’ve got to get tougher. Not sacrifice your love and your care and your empathy, but you got to get tough. And then we have to figure out how to love the people who are cynical because I don't think there's a ton of bad people in the world and I don't think there's a ton of bad people on teams. But I do think there are people who've been burned out. I do think there are people who have been through things in their lives. They've been through things in their company. They're experiencing stuff somewhere else. For whatever reason, they just kind of got run down and cynical and negative, or whatever. Or they're just wired a little different than we are. And I don't to hate on those people. I want to win those people. They don't have to be like me. They don't have to have my energy. But I want those people on my team. I want to love those people. And if eventually they choose that they don't believe in the same things that I believe in, I want to make it really clear and obvious that they don't want to be on this team because we're not about that. You know what I'm saying? I want it to be very easy, obvious, that, ‘Hey I should not be on this team. Because this team is full of very positive people who have great energy and talk to people, not about them.’ And we solve problems. We don't complain. We don't get defensive. We're real. I recognize I'm imperfect and I'm vulnerable to show you that about me. I want to be on that kind of a team. And if there's somebody who doesn’t believe in that stuff, I want to make it really easy for them to say, ‘Look, I don't want to be on this team. I don't wanna live like you guys live. I don't want do what you guys do.’ And then I really hope that that person leaves us and goes and joins our competitor.”
