In 1966, those Ibo majors who planned the Ibo coup were very foolish and reckless. The reason is that the Ibos dominated every sector in Nigeria. There was no reason to take up arms against your own government. The events of 1966 are the cause of the suffering the Ibos experience today, said the Ohaneze secretary. By 1965, the Ibos had infused themselves into every sector in Nigeria since their fellow Ibo man was in power. Even in Lagos, “Yorubaland,” the Ibos took over many sectors, sidelining the Yorubas, extending all the way to Ibadan and other regions of Nigeria. But the greed of the Ibo people always overpowered their sense of reason. Nnamdi Azikwe was greedy and wanted to be in charge of Yorubaland before Awolowo fought back. Azikwe, an Ibo man, was in power, but greed did not let the Ibos rest, they wanted more. They desired all the power of other regions to be centralized in one person who controlled it. They planned a coup, killed Yoruba leaders, Hausa-Fulani leaders, and spared their own Ibo leaders. After that, they put an Ibo man in charge of the country as head of state. The Ibos then dissolved the regional system of government, which allowed each region to govern itself. The Ibos cancelled it and brought all power to the center and who was at the center? An Ibo man. The North quickly realized what was going on and countered with a coup. they took power from the Ibos and kept the system Ibos planned the coup to change “ power in central “. The Ibos did not like this, so they asked to leave Nigeria since their plan had failed. The North said, “Oh, now you want to leave after killing our leaders?” The Biafra war then broke out, and the Ibos lost again. That system of Governemnt the Ibos planned the coup for is what Nigeria still uses today. The same Ibos are the ones complaining to this day! They brought the problems Nigeria faces today and still they cry every day about being victims. Have they learned from their mistakes of the 60s? No. Just look at their recent behaviors.

Obasanjo is not a saint, but I think he has settled it in his heart that if Peter Obi turns out to be the last gift he gives to Nigeria, then he has done his best. At least, he gave Nigeria Umaru Musa Yar'Adua from the North, and that would have remained one of the greatest gifts to this country if not for his untimely death. Now, he has identified another man from the South East. From the look of things, Obasanjo seems to have reasoned that if Peter Obi becomes President within his lifetime, then he would have fulfilled what he believes is his duty to Nigeria. I am Ekene Aninze, Esq.

H.E. Peter Obi throwback I'm sure over 200 million Nigerians have never seen this video, because personally, I have never come across it anywhere before now. Different clips of him are circulating daily, but I've noticed that many Nigerian youths pay more attention to irrelevant news, celebrity clashes, and trending stories that add little or no value to our future. At this point, I strongly believe Peter Obi was sent to help rescue Nigeria. His message has always been about accountability, production, education, and rebuilding the nation for the next generation. The painful truth is this: Nigerians need Peter Obi more than Peter Obi needs Nigerians. And if we truly want a better country, we must sit up, get involved, get our PVCs, and make the right decisions for the future of Nigeria. Peter Obi may not contest forever, but the vision of a better Nigeria must continue with the people.

I am so glad that what we have been saying has been made cleared by his excellency Rabiu musa kwankwanso in his words “I am convinced that Peter Obi is truly ready for a united Nigeria. Many people have twisted what happened in Imo State the issue of the ID CARD / TAG given to northers, I was the one who stepped in . You have all been hearing my interviews, the ones I have done and I am still doing. There is no way people will say Northerners were being targeted without mentioning that I stepped in to resolve the matter. I, Rabiu Kwankwaso, intervened and settled the issue. It was not Anambra, it was not Peter Obi it was an issue in Imo State, and I was the one who stepped in. The person involved is a friend of ours from the North. I do not know what happened to him maybe power got into his head or something else happened. I personally went to him and told him that what he was doing would not work, and that others could also retaliate by doing the same thing. We discussed it, laughed over it, shook hands, and everything was settled peacefully. I was the one who arranged and resolved the matter. But despite all this, people still say Peter Obi does not like the North or that he hates Northerners. All those claims are false. They are huge and deliberate lies.

One-Term Presidential Agreement Talk By Obi and Kwankwaso Is Hogwash - Otubanjo If Peter Obi wins the election, he will spend about two years learning how government works. After those two years, both his attention and Kwankwaso’s would shift to winning the next election, leaving little time for governance. The purported agreement is not reassuring to the North. One-Term Presidential Agreement Talk By Obi and Kwankwaso Is Hogwash - Otubanjo If Peter Obi wins the election, he will spend about two years learning how government works. After those two years, both his attention and Kwankwaso’s would shift to winning the next election, leaving little time for governance. The purported agreement is not reassuring to the North. Unlike in Tinubu’s case, where constitutional term limits rule out a 2031 run and power is expected to return to the North, this agreement rests only on a verbal promise from someone who has not tested presidential power.
