Theresa Tam emails reveal unethical medical experiments on Inuit babies Informed consent ignored as Theresa Tam's team subjects vulnerable children to failed drug trials, without oversight or accountability. Recently uncovered government emails reveal that the Public Health Agency of Canada (Health Canada and PHAC), led by Dr. Theresa Tam, subjected Inuit babies to experimental drug trials without their, or their parents' consent. The email correspondence, part of a massive 450,000-page disclosure made possible by Bret Sears, exposes a failed pharmaceutical program that ignored ethical standards, raising serious questions about accountability within Canada's public health system. The experimental drug in question, an RSV monoclonal antibody program, was administered to Inuit infants in Nunavik, an Inuit territory in Quebec, without proper consent or transparency. Despite concerns raised by healthcare workers about the lack of informed consent and the absence of Inuit community involvement in the decision-making process, the program proceeded. The drug, developed by AstraZeneca, was intended to treat respiratory infections, but internal PHAC emails reveal that the trial was unsuccessful. Not only did it fail to prevent hospitalizations from RSV, but the data from the trial also indicated negative effectiveness. An email dated December 16, 2019, uncovered by retired police detective and independent investigator Donald Best, reveals that Dr. Tom Wong, the Director General of Population & Public Health at Indigenous Services Canada, admitted the trial’s disappointing outcomes, noting that the program had "little chance" of preventing RSV-related hospitalizations, even at regional and tertiary hospitals. Worse yet, Wong knew that the experiment had significant ethical concerns among healthcare professionals, with no guarantees of free and informed consent. The exposure of this trial reveals a disturbing pattern of unethical medical experimentation on Indigenous children in Canada. He says, 'For Lumumba or Nkrumah, it was the 1960s, but for the West, it was still the 1860s, the 1760s, the 1660s.' WE AFRICANS MAY NEVER PROSPER FOR AS LONG AS WE LIVE IN CONCENTRATION CAMPS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE CHEAP LABOUR AND A CUSTOMER BASE FOR EUROPEANS The more I think about Pan Africanism, the State of Africa, and the prospects of its people, the more I wonder about some of the colonial programmes that African puppet governments simply continued with post-independence. For example, most of our townships were designed to be concentration camps that would force us into a cheap labour reservoir for Europeans. But not only that, they ensure we were dispossed of land, or could not use our own land that we still had. Even more, these concentration camps became a huge customer base for the same Europeans for whom we worked as they build their malls there. In a manner of speaking, they reaped us off twice: first as cheap labour, and secondly, as reliable customers for their products, right from the supermarket to the farm. It therefore may well be said that Africans and African governments need to rethink the settlement patterns of Africans. Instead of more cities, we need more roads and high speed rail so that Africans can live and work in their communities, instead of the few highways that were built for extractive purposes and run straight from the mines directly to the seaports. Let cottage industries and industrial parks be set up all over including the small towns and villages. This will ensure a total solution to the challenges of homelessness in the cities as there is more land for Africans to live in, build and even engage in small scale farming for their basic needs. One of the biggest tragedies played on us is the idea that "land has value, and for it to have value, that land has to be located next to European settlements". Our land ought to have value deep in our African settlements, and that way we won't even be beholden to banks' housing schemes through 20 or 30 year bonds. As more and more Africans build in their rural villages, let us disabuse ourselves of this notion that "that is not an investment". We do not build our homes primarily to sell, we build homes to live in with our families and leave them as a heritage to our children when we leave this world. African governments need to think beyond the Native Commissioners' ideas and accept African culture instead of always seeking to make everything look European. For example, what is the point of building skyscrapers in Africa as if we always have a shortage of housing land (except that such situations are artificially created through these cities?) The Africa of tomorrow must embrace the traditional African settlements and bring services directly to where Africans live, than drive Africans further into concentration camps, which comes with so many ills, everything from crime to drugs. And last, key point: Africans developing in their own communities means that they will provide labour to one another, be customers for one another's businesses, retain critical skills in the communities, advance community development, and ultimately, ensure the establishment of an African Economy owned by Africans! It is perhaps a tragedy of our time that places such as this in Venda, Bulilima-Mangwe, parts of KZN, etc. are leading the way, but it seems that governments aren't paying enough attention. We still need to decolonise African Governments!

From December 22 - 23, 2025, the leaders of Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso convened for the second session of the College of Heads of State of the Confederation of Sahel States (AES) – also known as the AES Summit. The events saw the inauguration of the Confederal Investment and Development Bank (BCID-AES) – an $895m-capitalized regional investment bank – the launch of AES Television – a media network built to amplify the stories and aspirations of the AES with a sovereign voice – and the appointment of Burkina Faso leader Captain Ibrahim Traoré as the new President of the Confederation. Traoré takes over from Mali President Assimi Goïta, who passed on the symbolic flag at the close of the Summit, and will lead the Confederation over the coming year. Earlier in the events, Traoré gave a powerful speech warning Africans across the Motherland and diaspora of the challenges still to come, and urging them to unite in the noble task of conquering these challenges, and ridding Africa of the scourge of Western imperialism once and for all. The revolution in the Sahel is bearing results, the continent is watching, and the usual suspects are doing everything in their power to stamp out the example. They are welcome to keep trying, but they might want to consider focusing on their own affairs and figuring out how to better manage what is left of their economies. PRESIDENT TRAORE TELLS STUDENTS TO STUDY SCIENCE From 9-11 May 2025, President Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso visited Moscow, Russia, for the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory over N*zi Germany. While in Moscow, President Traoré met with Burkinabé and other African students completing their degrees in Russia. For Traoré, this was the perfect opportunity to encourage the students to increase their scientific knowledge and bring skills back to Burkina Faso that will further the country's security and defence. In this video, Traoré explains that Burkina Faso lacks certain chemicals necessary to transform cotton into gunpowder and explosives. It is no secret that the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) confederation, which Burkina Faso belongs to, is seeking to develop a local weapons industry. Traore's fellow AES President Assimi Goïta declared in January, "The process of equipping the armed and security forces will be perfected in 2025 with the establishment of a military industry. We are actively working on the installation of the armaments factory with units for the assembly of individual and collective weapons, the assembly of light tactical vehicles, and the manufacture of ammunition and explosives for civilian use."
