🚨BREAKING: ICE agents were caught on video illegally detaining a U.S. citizen in Holtsville, Long Island. They boxed his car in, after racially profiling him, and demanded that he prove his citizenship… without a warrant, without probable cause, and without any lawful basis to stop him in the first place. In the video, the man sums up the situation saying: “this is some bullshit… I’m good to go, right?” And he’s right to question it, because what’s happening here isn’t a routine stop, it’s a constitutional violation. Under the Fourth Amendment, law enforcement cannot stop or detain someone without reasonable suspicion of a crime. Boxing in a car is not casual, it’s a seizure, which means they needed legal justification. They didn’t have one. And then they demanded proof of citizenship from a man who is a U.S. citizen, on U.S. soil, based on nothing more than how he looked. That’s racial profiling, and it a violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. Federal agents do not get to target people based on race or ethnicity, and then force them to prove they belong here. Then, after detaining him and violating his rights, they just walk away toward their cars like nothing happened. No accountability, no acknowledgment that they had just unlawfully seized someone. Because that’s what ICE agents do everyday.

🚨 WATCH THIS: An ICE/Border Patrol agent, once again, illegally detains and interrogates a U.S. citizen… on camera. In this video, an ICE agent is seen holding a man’s driver’s license hostage while repeatedly demanding to know where he was born. The man calmly says, over and over: “I’m an American citizen.” But the agent refuses to accept the answer… because this is how ICE tries to manufacture “probable cause” when they don’t actually have any. Here’s why what this agent did is unlawful: 1. ICE can ask immigration questions… but they cannot detain you without reasonable suspicion. Once the agent has the man’s license and isn’t letting the interaction end, that’s not voluntary anymore. ICE cannot detain anyone unless they have reasonable suspicion the person is removable. He clearly didn’t. 2. You do NOT have to answer “where were you born?” Citizens and non-citizens alike can refuse to answer. Your birthplace is private information, not a magic password for ICE. 3. ICE has databases. They can verify citizenship without badgering people. Agents often push this question because they want the person to slip up or panic. A “verbal admission” makes their job easy…even if it’s false. This is why they keep pressing even after hearing “I’m a citizen.” And why it is important to not answer their questions. 4. This is coercion, not procedure. Holding someone’s ID while interrogating them is not a routine check. It’s an unlawful seizure under the Fourth Amendment. 5. ICE’s own rules forbid racial profiling. Yet, here we are again: a citizen being treated as “suspicious” because of how he looks, not because of anything he did. Bottom line: This man did EVERYTHING right. He asserted his citizenship. He stayed calm. The only person breaking the law in this video is the ICE agent. And if this is how they treat a citizen, imagine what they do to people who can’t film it.

She was granted asylum from El Salvador under the Convention Against Torture protection in 2019. Now facing deportation to Mexico—a country where she's never lived. U.S. service members can't travel to Mexico—so if she is deported he will have to either leave his Army career or his wife. "ICE is out of control right now, taking away rights, as soldiers, that we have," said Sergeant First Class Jose Serrano. He suffered from a traumatic brain injury, PTSD, and depression after serving in Afghanistan—and his mental health has severely declined after his wife's arrest. In Atlantic City. He showed them his license. They dismissed it. He showed them ANOTHER form of ID. They STILL kept interrogating him about where he lived, who he lived with, whether Venezuelans lived in his home, who had been in his car, and whether the vehicle was registered to him. All while illegally detaining him in his car. And in the end… The agents admitted they weren’t even looking for the person connected to the car’s registration. So, why was this U.S. citizen stopped, surrounded, and interrogated in the first place? The Fourth Amendment does not disappear because agents “suspect” someone might be undocumented. You do not have to repeatedly prove your citizenship to federal agents because they decided you “look foreign enough” to question. Yet, this keeps happening to U.S. citizens across the country.
