It can crack the grill plate! Bad idea

Experience the laissez-faire luxury of our ultra-soft and breathable Tech Linen Button Up Sweater Polo.

It looks so gross yet satisfying 😲

No. The temperature difference between the ice and hot skillet causes the grease to shatter and lift off the surface.

Works with a deep fryer aswell

it's the steam doing the magic.

The steam created is what cleans the grill, not ice hardening the oil. Hence why it works with water as well as ice.

Tell me you've never had a steam burn without actually telling me you never had a steam burn

why not just clean it with water? isn't ice just water?

🚨Dead wrong!!!!!!🚨 Putting cold ice on a hot grill warps the metal grill surface. How dumb can you get?

I am not gonna eat in hotel now onwards.

Great practical tip! A little ice can make a big difference.

McDonald's Trick!

Water mixed with a little lemon juice works better

mmmm Ice coffee

What the hell🙄🙄

Just don’t try this at home, 💯 will set off the fire alarm

This only works for tops that aren’t very dirty. You need grill cleaner or something acidic to get the harder grease out

This is incredible! I can’t believe it’s true, but it’s an awesome hack!

Then pour a little lime juice on it and wipe with a towel.

Don't try that with your Blackstone it will warp it

😮

ice and grill cleaner lol

Grill Brick gets it done everytime and without all that steam

Ice works wonders on sticky oil, makes removal a breeze 💡

Who knew

Ice hardens sticky oil, making it easier to remove. But does this simple trick reveal more about the science of temperature than we realize?

Also warping your grill top which will cost you a bunch to replace but ya

This is how we used to clean coffee pots in a restaurant. Swirl around ice and salt in the carafe and it takes the burned coffee right off.

Then re-freeze the ice .. yummy !
