This may be why you saw inaccurate messaging from Sotheby’s in the New York Post - almost like a cover up from negative press. The media and the stage is what makes game worn items have value. That is an NBA value add. If the players were playing at the local YMCA, the items would have no value. So there is nothing to be afraid of. The collectible market grew. If the players want to buy their game worn Finals items they are able to just like they can buy their trading cards. They will just have to compete with the collectible community. Capitalism. The NBA is a Masterclass.

If you ring up an item and it comes up at a penny and you buy it, shouldn’t they honor it?
