The first one looks better to me. Better animated and that rain with the gray darkness all around them just makes the battle look much cooler than Round 2

Round 1 may have been better animated, but round 2 is much longer AND I’d say is an overall “better” fight. And the animation is still really good anyway. Expecting the animation quality of round 1 a much longer period of time is A LOT to ask for, and too much to expect.

Nah I really did not expect the second fight to go as crazy as it did. The shading, visuals, and set pieces were spectacular. The art had its great moments too! Unfortunately for yhwach my boy only using his shikai rn. I can’t wait to see that bankai
