You really can’t make a cool looking 2d action game anymore without people being like “wow you copied off [popular indie medroidvania]” with the loosest and most surface level observations

While I do agree, every bit of discussion pushes us toward a new group of people so if someone is intrigued by the concept of an evil dark fantasy and the closest thing they can describe it to is Hollow knight, Dead Cells, or Blasphemous, I'll take it.

personally the Patron is still a top design for me! He's not all there mentally but still powerful and his crown horns are iconic to the game atp.

His crown reminds me of Darkest Dungeon! He looks like an endearing guys, for sure! I am already liking this game, let me tell you

It seems quite hard to know where some things are looking at gameplay, i do like the artstyle but it seems way too noisy compared to the itch version / bossrush

I've been told that it certainly is more readable when playing the game vs looking from the outside. Still something we should look into.
