When people from the slums protest, they are dismissed as hopeless and being misused. When politicians lead protests, it’s written off as political ambition. But now, I am moved by the ongoing protests—no politicians, no class, no tribe! This is confusing the Ruto regime. It is an uprising of everybody: old, young, rich, and poor. For the first time, we are witnessing the middle class and the youngest, educated members of society joining the protests. Yet, Ichungwas and Osoros still think it’s a joke!
