TLDR ICT’s core message is: Stop trying to force trades. Your edge starts with time, context, and discipline — not with finding more setups. When the market is not offering high-probability conditions, the correct trade is no trade. The whole talk is basically a psychology/risk lecture wrapped in trading language. He is saying: Your model has to begin with time. He compares trading to farming: a farmer does not plant whenever he feels impatient. There is a season. Same with trading. The first filter for high probability is whether it is actually the right time/environment to “plant risk.” Accept losses instead of trying to trade in a way that avoids them. He says the more you hunt for a way to never lose, the more trouble you create. The real job is accepting risk, controlling it, and only operating inside your model’s rules. Some markets are scalper-only or no-trade environments. He talks about being stuck in a daily range where price was choppy and not conducive to holding for a full daily move. In that environment, the right approach is either nimble one-to-five-minute scalping or standing aside — not forcing a larger thesis. If the trade stops acting right, get out. This was probably the most valuable point. He says when probabilities shift while you are in the trade, you need to be willing to kill it — and be indifferent if it moves afterward. Staying in because “as soon as I exit it’ll go” is emotional attachment, not trading skill. Most damage comes after the first bad decision. He makes the point that the trade you arm-wrestle may not be what blows the account — it is the six or seven revenge/impulse trades after it. That is very relevant to prop/funded trading. Use demo to expose your weaknesses, not to impress yourself. He specifically says to identify recklessness, impulsiveness, over-leverage, pyramiding in bad conditions, and the urge to trade every session/macro — and to study those weaknesses safely in demo.

It didn’t even transform his life

You know you're one of the most undecided sets of human beings in this app. You shit on the man in half your posts and then you turn around and all of a sudden you're his devoted student. Pick a side already. Love ICT btw....

from the man who grew his equity selling courses?????

My mentor 🔥🫰

This is gold. The biggest edge isn’t another indicator, it’s having the patience to wait for A+ setups and the discipline to take the loss when the model says so. Most retail accounts die from revenge trading, not bad entries.

Grow with risk management, there is no other way
