GOD the American cops are DUMB MORONIC 🤡s. I’m British living in the UK 🇬🇧 @USApolice but I watch an American police series called POLICE 24/7 and even I KNOW, that you do NOT have to show ID unless the cops/ cops have REASONABLE ARTICULABLE SUSPICION of a crime you have committed or that you WILL commit. Demanding ID when there is NO REASONABLE ARTICULABLE SUSPICION (RAS) or a crime is punishable by the cop/ cops immunity being stripped and the cop/ cops being fired from their positions.

At this point it’s just less of a headache to let them shoot you in the fucking head.

Cops are OBSESSED with demanding ID. Citizens have a 4th Amendment right to be secure in their person, property and papers and to be free from unjustified searches and seizures. Absent reasonable articulable suspicion of a crime being committed officer cannot compel ID.
