I truly believe it's what keeps them alive, keeps them going. It's when these singers/bands etc retire is when they become ill and pass away. Keeps them young.

Well, other people are truly dead at 81 or spending their retirement days sitting in a rocking chair. And here's a guy that rather prefers to rock than sit in a chair. I guess he changed his mind after all. 😉
