I have a genuine question for anyone who might read this. Assuming I'm the cyclist... If I decide at that moment to pull out a gun and kill the dogs, would I have any legal problems?

First off the dogs should not be off leash if they have 0 control over them. However kicking the dogs will do nothing but get them more excited and aggressive. Get off the bike. Stand your ground and be the alpha the owners are not.

As a dog owner, people like this piss me off. Dogs that exhibit aggression, strong herding tendencies like nipping, and/or trained for protection, they should not be off leash in public, even if well trained, incl. off-leash recall. This guy exercised amazing restraint.

They’re Belgian malinois, they’d kick you back lick your blood and dance on your grave. Clearly the handler fault. Don’t get dogs you can’t dedicate yourself to.

1. Those malinois shouldn’t be off lead-they’re still pups 2. Use the bike as a shield-keep the bike between you & dogs 3. If I get bit, dog gets a 357 magnum. Then you have proof for the needed shot. 4. Be the one who calls 911

I was riding my bike at 10 yrs old. A dog came charging at me from behind a house. I got off my bike, held it between me & the dog, stomped my foot, yelled at it in my most authoritative 10 yr old voice, & he stopped. Owner came to the door and called him back. Victory.

Don't kick, they are always faster. They'll get you with puncture wounds that take forever to heal. Never surrender your neck like that either!

Another dog owner that can’t properly train or control their dogs. I love dogs, but if I was that guy on the bike and two dogs attacked me, there will be two dead dogs he’d have to carry back home. Sorry I’m not gonna get mauled.

I had that but with one Germany Shepard trying to attack a little dog puppy. Just saw it coming before the owner so no blood splash.
