idc what yall think about initial d, season 1-3 was a banger.

CGI needs a redux for sure. I'm used to seeing it's artstyle, but I can't get younger folk to watch it cuz, "They think it's too ugly"

imo i think that's what gives the feeling of speed and its charm compared to the new cgi

My personal favorite is 4th, there were so many great moments overral.

1st-3rd stage was fine, it was before Takumi's plot armor reached ridiculous amounts of silly like how it happens in later seasons. But I prefer the later seasons because it focuses on Keisuke and we see an actual character development with him, unlike with Takumi.

show fell off when they started messing with the character design, like wtf is Ryosuke in season 5? like look at this downgrade

i think in retrospect it's kind of mediocre storywise, but 1-3 has a really charming soundtrack and driving scenes and a sort of atmosphere which starting at the 4th season just fell off. i watched 1-3 many times. it's a great watch. i struggle to watch anything later though.

The early seasons were good because they got Tsuchiya as their advisor. So it made sense, apart from some RIP Physics moments like the Irohazaka Jump. But post Stage 3... Welp, too much plot armor and more RIP Physics moments.
