Security ink employed for banknote printing never truly "dries". Rub any paper banknote against a white sheet of paper and it will stain. Try it with the old series. Try it with the redesigned. Try it with the 100 Naira commemorative note. This is not a new phenomenon.

@cenbank Corrective measures needs to be taken to ensure that the old #200.00, #500.00 and #1,000.00 notes that get into the Banks do not go back into circulation again. Banks are still giving out old notes from both the teller inside the bank and the ATM machines.

Useless CBN printed small number of notes. You printed less than N1Trillion worth of new notes. If you printed enough notes, everybody would have had it by now. MY CONCLUSION IS THAT CBN ARE THIEVES.

In a serious system, commercial banks are supposed to have stopped paying out the old notes to the public by now. We have les than 14days to deadline & all notes still being paid out are d old ones.

Made a withdrawal at the local bank yesterday & I still got old notes. & you are here making "No More Legal Tender" threats by 31st. One could easily say that you want to impoverish the masses for being stuck with old notes after 31st. Nigeria is a crazy place.
