NEW: Florida just became the second state to ban fluoride in public drinking water—and Governor DeSantis says the reason is simple: He’s done letting the government force medical interventions on people without their consent. “We did this because ultimately medical intervention should be based on informed consent.” DeSantis explained that brushing your teeth with fluoride is one thing—but drinking it every day without a choice? That crosses a line. “So when you're adding it to the public drinking water supply, it's effectively forced medication.” He pointed to growing concerns over long-term exposure and cited the research RFK Jr. has been sharing. “You heard RFK Jr. talk about some of the studies that have done with excessive fluoride exposure.” DeSantis isn’t calling for a fluoride ban in your home. He’s calling for choice—something he says has been missing in public health for years. “Yes—use fluoride to brush your teeth and mouthwash, and people do that—But why would you force people to have to do the risks that are associated with it?” Then came the deeper jab—one aimed directly at the medical establishment. “People have started to take the evidence more seriously, particularly in light of a lot of the failures of the medical establishment during Covid. So ultimately we want people to have a choice.” And for the first time, Floridians finally do. “If you want to add fluoride to your water, you have the right to do that.
