If homebrew devs can get PS3 games running on an Android handheld, why hasn’t Sony got them running on PS5???

Because home brew doesn't have to worry about QA. If Sony delivers something it has to be pretty much flawless. Not excusing them by the way, but this is a big factor fans often overlook.

Thats fair. The emulation is definitely not perfect but it is amazing how much hobbyist devs are able to achieve

Yeah I haven’t tried that yet but I’ve been happily playing Tokyo Jungle again which works perfectly

Oh Sony absolutely has gotten PS3 games to run on PS5. I can almost guarantee they have managed to get any PS game to run on the PS5. They just dont want to release it.

Money, mostly. I have a PS5 and it's pretty neat, being able to play my Blu-rays in it is also nice, but ultimately I do most of my gaming on my steam machine.

Fans got the PS5 to play PS3 games running natively on the PS5 just fine. It's purely a company decision to NOT have the PS5 playable on their system. That's all you need to know.

Because they have enough kiss asses in their customer base that would happily take streaming over local emulation because their big daddy said so. The fact that not even PS2 cannot be emulated on the PS5 is pathetic.
