I remember this night so well. We were lucky enough to be on the guest list (my then girlfriend, future wife, done some dancing at a @Slipmatt PA, so he made sure we got to go), and walking past the thousands of people queuing to get in was a relief. What a night!

Michael Lugiano is the lone Pennsylvanian left in the #USAmateur field Two weeks ago, he contemplated withdrawing from the event. "That's how bad of golf I was playing. After the Western, I was sick of playing bad, and I got to work, found a feel, and really worked hard on it for that week coming into this event, decided to eventually play because I got confident with my game again. I can't believe I've made it this far from my perspective two weeks ago. "But if you asked me the day before this event what could have been possible, I would have said I could have won this because the confidence was back."

This was the hardest lift I've ever done a 720 Yoke walk. To put in perspective... someone who is good at this lift would complete the movement in 11-15 seconds it took me dang near a min! Remember it like it was yesterday... I was battling out for a top 3 spot with some great lifters. The guy who was placed ahead of me was way better at this event then me. He RAN with the weight... but dropped it once... (not a big deal... you get 2 drops...) Picked it up quick and stumbled and dropped again! He was trying to catch the the second place spot. I knew this was my worst event and wasn't going to win it. BUT... if I made it down I would position myself in 3rd place going into a couple event I was good at. I struggled..... getting this thing down there. But did. It was the most proud I even been doing a lift. Even more then squatting 700. This took everything in me! Ended up placing 3rd in the event largely due to not giving up on this lift.

🐹The next concert in the Netherlands will be my last stop. I just wanted to say thank you for giving me such a beautiful memory before the final show. A long time ago, at some concert, one of the members asked the audience to turn on their phone flashlights. Back then, I honestly didn’t get it as I’m not a very sentimental person so I wondered ‘Why do they do that?’ But seeing it today, I felt it was just so beautiful. Ofc, I've always thought it was a pretty scene whenever I saw it, not just that it was pretty today. But the difference is that I kind of expected it when I saw it in the past. And today, I recevied something unexpected. There’s something different about the way a surprise event made me feel. Starting with that ‘London Princess’ thing earlier, there have been so many touching events you've prepared for me today. I’m leaving truly moved. You showed me how powerful a surprise event can be.
