I was the GM of a vacation rental co. We opened 70 units in Seattle and were immediately hit by a huge crime ring in Seattle that included Sex Trafficking. I had no idea in the beginning what I was dealing with. After an incident in one of my penthouse units, a Seattle PD officer explained what was happening. I was tracking this group from Seattle to Florida with the stolen credit cards they were using. We also found tons of stolen mail in the units they got into. Several buildings we had units in surveillance cameras would capture them stealing or damaging property. It was clear these crime rings were using drug addicts to do the dirty work. They were a lot of kids and young adults with these people. They also had small dogs a lot of the time. I mentioned that to one of the officers and he told me they use the dogs to lure kids. I too thought I was going to help SPD, FBI and Secret Service catch these people. For a year and a half I begged law enforcement to help me. Local police officers tried but when it went up the chain, no one got back to me. These crime rings use drugs to turn their victims into slaves. This is one example of what me and my staff would find daily in the units they got into. After a year and a half I couldn’t take it anymore and left my job. This was six years ago and the problem in Seattle keeps getting worse.
