If I told Sen. Schumer he could pass any bill he wanted—without a single Republican vote—he would jump on it like a hobo on a ham sandwich. So why aren’t Republicans working to pass another reconciliation bill?

Nuke the damn filibuster!

Apparently I’ve been stupid for harboring the belief that Senate Republicans and their staffers would of course have used the last few months to gameplan every possible piece of legislation that can be passed by reconciliation… Here are some friendly suggestions for the Senate: 1. Do the above pronto 2. Amend blue slip rules to limit them to 3-5 per Senator per Congressional term; preserves blue slips for the most extreme cases, removes the obstructionism 3. Amend the filibuster rule to prohibit its use by the minority to shut down the government, at least when a clean CR has been passed by the House; no party wins when they shut down the government so it’s sleeves off the Republican vest to change it 4. If Senate Rs won’t abolish the filibuster, consider other incremental changes like amending the threshold to say 55; we live in an evenly divided country and 60 is too high

They will wait until they can hijack the system again. There are no policies left in the democrat party only leverage.

We have a dream: Senator Kennedy becomes Majority Leader. We'd see action, and have a lot of laughs at the same time.

It’s simple, but it requires some 🏈 🏀 ⚽️ and allegiance to MAGA voters and President Trump.

Republicans already delivered the Big Beautiful Bill—H.R. 1—locking in $1.6 trillion in cuts and realigning federal spending with America First priorities. That historic win ended the era of globalist handouts and bureaucratic bloat. Now, the focus is executing that victory, not rushing another reconciliation bill while Democrats push to expand benefits for illegal immigrants. Real reform takes precision, not panic. Schumer’s desperation for unchecked power proves why fiscal discipline matters—every dollar must serve citizens, not open-border agendas.

Great Question? 🤔

@MeredithPChamp Damned good question…but I think I know the answer. Democrats don’t want to give republicans an inch. They’re making a HUGE MISTAKE !!!

Because many are just as corrupt as the Democrats. Full stop.

JK, fire John Thune. Simple.

For the most part, Republicans are more comfortable in the minority. Republicans, with notable exceptions, want to enjoy the perks but don't want to fight for US.

Eliminate the filibuster!

Why aren’t Republicans using this opportunity to finally reform @DeptVetAffairs without Leftist obstruction?!? We won’t have this opportunity again. Fix it now, or shut it down. TriCare is looking better everyday. @SecVetAffairs is more concerned with chasing his tail and responding to every negative news article and keeping track of which podcast he’s got next. Veterans are suffering. Stop ignoring us!

You're there. Talk to them!

Senator Kennedy has been pushing our GOP to pass the 2nd reconciliation bill & he has no idea why they aren’t. They could’ve ended the filibuster, voter ID same-day voting. & more! I love when he said if Schumer could pass a bill= he’d jump on it like a hobo on a ham sandwich.

Senator Kennedy, you are my favorite Senator even though you’re not my senator from Texas. The reason they’re not working the pass another reconciliation bill is that unfortunately the vast majority of them left their common sense at the door.

Why? You should know.

Because they won't put the game controllers down & get off the freaking couch. They're worthless to constituents. America is in trouble & they still think it's republicans V democrats for party win. We're fighting for our country, it's sovereignty & They're sleep walking.

Or the SAVE Act, healthcare, blue slips, or...or...or? Sorry Senator starting to look like it may take nuking the filibuster to get some things done.

@Ary19Mary Because @LeaderJohnThune is a useless, feckless, gutless coward Carry on Patriots

Because you do not have 51 votes.

Seems to me the answer to that is simple. Johnson and Thune are part of the problem not part of the solution. They are as much a part of the deep state as any democrat.

He has such an eloquent way with words. 😂

Most ONLY care about getting reelected.

John, you're arguing for the exact reason we need to kill the filibuster. Look at all the problems you would relieve yourselves of!

End the filibuster

Your budget is 11 months late, Johnny. Repubs can’t govern…..

Ummm. Good question! Maybe because they’re bad employees of the people and should be fired?

Because we haven't offered Republicans a ham sandwich?

How bout an actual healthcare plan?

@rm36863307 They will delay until to the last minute to create a crises then pass some loaded bill they do not read.
