I stopped and pet this kitten and she thinks she’s mine now (volume.) I guess she lives in this field, I came out of the house and heard her meowing softly. She came over to greet me, I picked her up for a bit, and now she’s trying to follow me to the gas station. With me waiting for the call from the dealership to get my car back, I think I’m stuck at home for a bit.

The story of how Marisa Tomei was cast in the movie despite studio not wanting her: "Jonathan Lynn: The studio offered it to any Italian American they could think of with any name value. They all passed. I think they thought the part wasn’t big enough. Dale Launer: Lorraine Bracco was discussed, but I think she passed. Also on the list was Carole Davis. She’s an actress and a hip-hop singer. We’re friends, and I called her when I was down in Butler, Alabama, doing research for the movie. I remember she said, “I bet the Chinese food down there is terrible.” I thought that was funny, so I took it and gave it to Lisa. Jonathan Lynn: I started auditioning lots of people. They all came in to read, and nobody was right. I was getting very worried. By chance, John Landis phoned and said, “I’m finishing shooting Oscar this week,” which was a film with Sylvester Stallone and Danny DeVito. “Would you like to come down to Paramount and look at the amazing set before it’s broken down?” I said sure. Marisa came onto the set and did her little scene. I said to John, “Who is this? Scammers exist everywhere and they are. Reason I am not as charitable to strangers as I was used to be. I remember there used to be this woman who held a sign by the freeway and every time I went by it said that she was pregnant and every bit helps. I once gave her money because I felt bad for her. But she’s been there for the last 5 years, if true then she’s been perpetually pregnant for 5 years. I have a feeling it’s not true because why would anybody keep having kids if they were homeless? It doesn’t make sense to me. Can’t we all agree that using CB listen as part of a scam is the lowest of the low?

I love that Candace Owens mispronounces things. Same reason as I used to love it when my nan mispronounced things: it’s funny. And it’s endearing. I think it’s funny when she says “miles per an hour”, instead of “miles an hour”, like I do or “miles per hour”. Who cares. I came across an entire account dedicated to Candace mispronouncing things the other day. I watched half a dozen and thought they were brilliant (I think the owner hates her and thinks that other people will hate her if he can expose her as someone so misspeaks her and there - these people). Don’t you get it. She’s like family to so many people so get now truth from her than they’ve got from anyone on earth other than their own family - even if it’s sometimes wrong, or even (heaven forbid) mispronounced.
