He should have tried the Santi technique!

Mr Garvey and I said in our commentary, his chances of catching that ball are tiny - so the best he can hope for is a sympathetic view from the officials. Which he wasn't getting. Caught up in the adrenaline. Concede the 5, tough conversion, stay on the pitch

When it’s deliberately cynical, maybe. This is clearly a case of an instinctive reaction which Varney instantly regretted. The ball flashed across him and in the fraction of a second he thought he could grab it. Definitely a ‘coach killer’ mistake, but worthy of being dropped?

I'm the same about players stopping a try scoring opportunity when off their feet...

Why aren’t you a coach John?

Fortunately you won't ever be a coach, only a mediocre 'journalist'

Luckily not your team!!

Use your head, legs, or chest - not your arms.

There was a deliberate KO by Exeter in the first half completely missed by ref and TMO

Good luck with that.

5 points in the corner with a difficult kick to go plus 15 players on the pitch VS 7 points, no kick to make and down to 14 players for 10 minutes 😕

Here we go John going against chiefs again you best friends with Austin healey?

Because quality SH’s are ten a penny.

If I were a ref I'd appreciate the players are not trying to 'knock down' the ball but trying to get it most of the time. In this instance the ball went slightly up off his hand anyway.
