@chris_sutton73 Because it's not true. There's no way he wrote that statement, an agent or a lawyer wrote that. The agent has been advised by LFC on exit strategy in order to drive the price lower. They've tapped him up & instructed him to act up.

@chris_sutton73 Because the people that made and broke the promises are no longer at the club, so his claim that the "trust" is broken doesn't make any sense. If your boss broke a promise, and then your boss's boss sacked your boss - you'd be more loyal to your employer, not less.

@chris_sutton73 There’s this thing called ‘a transfer request’ that when a player (not agent) is pushing to leave a club needs to be submitted. Not an unsubstantiated ’promise’ that is only voiced when things don’t go to plan! Newcastle need to stay strong and enforce the contract!
