Thank you Richard for this important video. My guys were given some very similar Chinese “CAT”-like tourniquets. I warned the guys and they decided to test them. During the test, almost all of those “tourniquets” were torn and broken. I replaced them with real ones:

It's sad that even after such a long time, there is still this problem. We need to spread awareness as to which suppliers are good and which ones are bad. A list, easy to understand and spread.

The US has 2 reputable CAT sellers on Amazon with storefronts they fulfill orders themselves: Rescue Essentials has an Amazon store front. Some units and trainers do infact use and request Chinese tourniquets for training. Some CAT knockoffs are grey as well 1/2

What about Ukrainian made sich tourniquets?

👌but in fairness she did say that they were going to guys for training purposes- “The ones pictured are sent with a group that’s training, not frontline.”

Never, you, never ever train with these, there is NO point, you can't show someone how to effectively use a TQ when it snaps before it has cut off the blood flow, Training TQs are used for training, not Fake Chinese TQs These need to be incinerated. The only use of these Chinese TQs is this video to tell people to NOT buy them.
