Could wind turbines become a key renewable energy solution in urban areas? 🌬️🌆 Until now, the large size of traditional wind turbines has hindered their adoption in cities. However, a new generation of urban wind turbines is now making strides 👀

@BBMPCOMM @DKShivakumar It's very simple. We are not here to fill the pockets of MLA and MP's. Let's stop paying tax and area RWA manages these basic things like road, drainage, water. The tax amount can be collected by RWA. Everyday, accident due to bad roads, drainage spillover, no drinking water.

@BBMPCOMM @DKShivakumar Bengaluru’s roads and drainage are failing, yet the govt chases flashy projects. Fix the basics first before dreaming big!Expose recent road/drainage failures.Demand accountability with deadlines. Compare with better-managed cities. Push for independent infrastructure audits.

Bengaluru’s Billion-Dollar Image, But Not a Rupee for Its Roads? This is the so-called "Brand Bengaluru" a city that claims to be the Silicon Valley of India, yet its roads tell a very different and disgraceful story. The condition of Vibgyor High School Road is absolutely appalling, filled with massive potholes and deep craters, some of which are perpetually filled with water. It becomes nearly impossible for commuters, especially school children and parents, to travel during the rainy season. The road is not just an inconvenience it's a serious safety hazard. One cannot help but wonder: What has happened to the public money collected through taxes? Why is the Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS turning a blind eye to such basic infrastructure issues? Year after year, roads are dug up, patched shoddily, and left to deteriorate again. Is this negligence or sheer incompetence? This road is not an isolated case; it reflects the overall collapse of urban governance in Bengaluru. While crores are spent on branding campaigns, smart city projects, and beautification drives, the most essential requirement motorable roads remains ignored. How can we talk about "Brand Bengaluru" when people can't even walk or drive safely in their own neighbourhoods? The silence and inaction of the BBMP and local government is shameful. Are the lives and daily struggles of citizens not a priority? Do authorities only wake up when elections come around? It's time for accountability. Tax-paying citizens deserve much better than crater-ridden roads that resemble war zones. Enough is enough. The people of Bengaluru are tired of empty promises and hollow slogans. The real face of "Brand Bengaluru" is not the skyline of glass towers it's this broken road that thousands of citizens are forced to endure every single day. Karnataka State Police ChristinMathewPhilip Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike

No matter whether the Chief Minister changes or not, the condition of Bengaluru's roads seems to remain the same. Just look at the state of this road. Thousands of citizens use this stretch every day for their daily commute, yet it has been reduced to what looks more like an off-road track than a city road. The entire stretch is filled with craters, broken surfaces, loose gravel, and missing tar. Driving here is not only uncomfortable but also dangerous for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. During rains, these potholes become even more hazardous, increasing the risk of accidents and vehicle damage. Citizens continue to pay taxes, road tax, fuel tax, and various other levies with the expectation of receiving basic infrastructure and safe roads. But looking at conditions like these, one question naturally arises: Where is the taxpayers' money going? Bengaluru deserves better. Safe and well-maintained roads are not a luxury they are a basic necessity for every citizen. Karnataka State Police S. Bengaluru's Biggest Monsoon Tradition: Flooded Roads and Empty Promises This is Bengaluru. Looking at these visuals, one would think it is a swimming pool, not one of the city's major roads. The irony is that despite endless claims of development, smart infrastructure, and rapid urban growth, the same roads turn into waterlogged stretches every single time it rains. Just look at the water level. Vehicles are struggling to move, commuters are stranded, and residents are forced to wade through flooded roads. This is not an isolated incident or a one-time problem. It has become a recurring story across Bengaluru whenever there is moderate or heavy rainfall. The bigger question is: where are taxpayers' hard-earned money and infrastructure funds going? Citizens pay road tax, property tax, and numerous other charges with the expectation of basic civic amenities. Yet year after year, the city continues to witness the same drainage failures, poor road planning, and lack of accountability.Authorities issue promises after every monsoon, conduct inspections, and announce new projects, but the ground reality remains unchanged. If Bengaluru is truly India's technology capital, why are its residents still battling flooded roads every rainy season? Development cannot be measured by announcements and advertisements alone it must be reflected in the quality of infrastructure that citizens use every day.Until authorities fix the root causes of poor drainage, unplanned construction, and inadequate road infrastructure, Bengaluru's roads will continue to resemble swimming pools rather than the modern urban network that residents deserve. Karnataka State Police S. Brand Bengaluru: Where Dreams Drive, But Boats Float Faster Massive traffic chaos has erupted on the Electronic City flyover and the adjoining main roads, all thanks to the now ritualistic waterlogging near Silk Board. With Hosur Road completely closed due to flooding, the city's infrastructure has once again collapsed like a house of cards at the first sign of rain. Commuters, helpless and frustrated, have started walking on the flyover because clearly, walking through chaos is faster than waiting in it. This isn’t just traffic this is Bengaluru’s monsoon edition of survival of the fittest. Welcome to Brand Bengaluru, where tech dreams come to die in puddles, and BBMP’s contribution is limited to photo ops and press notes. Bengaluru, the so-called city of dreams for thousands, is crumbling not because of nature but because of years of unchecked greed, corruption, and absolute apathy. Our roads flood, our drains choke, and our officials? They remain blissfully unaware or shamelessly indifferent. What has Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS truly done, other than expertly mismanage public funds and turn a global tech hub into a soggy, unlivable disaster zone every monsoon? "Brand Bengaluru" is now nothing more than a cruel joke, sold to the world while its citizens swim through the mess. And let’s not forget us the voters. Shame on us for electing the same people again and again, expecting change while receiving nothing but potholes, waterlogged roads, and empty promises. Maybe next time we’ll vote for candidates who carry umbrellas, not just manifestos. At this rate, Bengaluru won’t need smart city plans it’ll need snorkels and rescue teams #bangalorerains #bangalorerains #silkboard #bengaluru #bangalore Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS Tushar Giri Nath, IAS Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ BengaluruCityPolice ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ BengaluruTrafficPolice CP Bengaluru ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು alok kumar DGP KARNATAKA S. Bengaluru package: Study at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, survive Bannerghatta Road, and heal at Jayadeva Hospital People regularly pass through this stretch of road, which begins near Jayadeva Hospital and continues up to the main road entrance. Unfortunately, the entire stretch is riddled with multiple potholes, making daily commuting extremely difficult and unsafe.Because of this poor road condition, bike riders are the worst affected. Their vehicle suspensions are getting severely damaged, and constant jerks are taking a toll on their backs and overall health. It genuinely feels like citizens are risking both their vehicles and their physical well-being just to travel a short distance. Is this what we call infrastructure development? A road that looks like it is competing with moon craters? It raises serious concerns about accountability and governance. What exactly are the authorities doing? Where is the government when such basic civic issues remain unresolved for so long? This particular stretch near IIMB Metro Station has become a daily struggle for commuters. Immediate attention and proper road maintenance are not just necessary they are long overdue. Karnataka State Police S. This is one of the worst stretches in Bengaluru, and unfortunately, this is not the first time it has been waterlogged. Year after year, every time heavy rain hits the city, this underpass turns into a lake, causing severe inconvenience to commuters, damaging vehicles, and putting lives at risk. Despite repeated incidents and countless complaints from citizens, nothing seems to have changed. The most frustrating part is that this problem is entirely predictable. Authorities know exactly what happens here during every monsoon, yet there appears to be no permanent solution or effective drainage system in place. Instead, residents and daily commuters are forced to suffer the same ordeal repeatedly while promises of infrastructure improvements remain on paper. Citizens pay taxes expecting better roads, proper stormwater management, and safe public infrastructure. However, situations like this raise serious questions about planning, accountability, and maintenance. How many more years will people have to endure the same issue before meaningful action is taken? A city aspiring to be a global technology hub cannot afford to have critical roads and underpasses flooded after every spell of rain. Public issues deserve attention, and citizens deserve better than the same recurring problem year after year. Karnataka State Police S. Welcome to “Brand Bengaluru” Now With Potholes, Craters, and an Accident Guarantee! This is the reality of the so-called Silicon City of India roads that look like they’ve been hit by meteors, not maintained by a functioning government. The "Brand Bengaluru" dream sold to us is nothing but a cruel joke. What we’ve actually received are crater-filled roads, potholes the size of bathtubs, and a free daily massage every time you drive over them. Forget smooth commuting Bengaluru roads now come with a free “accident guarantee”! Whether you’re on a bike, car, or auto, every trip is a game of survival. And yet, our hard-earned tax money keeps disappearing into thin air, while those responsible continue to make big promises and attend ribbon-cutting ceremonies. What’s worse is that we’re not talking about the outskirts or remote areas these pathetic road conditions exist in the very heart of the city. Potholes have become permanent landmarks. People have stopped asking when the roads will be repairedbnow we just ask how deep is the next one. Bengaluru was once hailed as India’s pride a tech hub, a modern metro. But now, thanks to years of corruption, apathy, and absolute misgovernance, it’s known for floods, traffic, and moon-surface-like roads. So here’s to “Brand Bengaluru” powered by buzzwords, broken promises, and back-breaking roads. Maybe the government should start a new campaign: “Bengaluru where even roads don’t work, but the PR team does.” Dear authorities, citizens don’t need flashy slogans or staged celebrations. We just need basic infrastructure. And if that’s too much to ask, maybe you should stop calling this a world-class city altogether #bangalorerains #bangalorerains #silkboard #bengaluru #bangalore Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS Tushar Giri Nath, IAS Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ BengaluruCityPolice ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ BengaluruTrafficPolice CP Bengaluru ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು alok kumar DGP KARNATAKA S. Another day, another flood. Welcome back to Brand Bengaluru where urban planning is optional and accountability is extinct. it's HSR Layout 7th Sector one of the so-called “posh” and “well-planned” areas of Bengaluru that has turned into a full-blown lake. Thanks to the unshakable negligence of the Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS, even the most developed neighborhoods are now sinking under their own real estate hype. The drainage system? Completely choked. BBMP? Fast asleep, as if nothing is wrong. It’s almost as if the administration is in a parallel universe where Bengaluru is functioning just fine. Meanwhile, on ground zero, roads have vanished under murky water, vehicles are submerged, and entire stretches look like disaster zones. Severe waterlogging in HSR Layout has brought life to a standstill. Residents are struggling to leave their homes. Office-goers are stranded. Kids can’t go to school. And on top of it all, there's the rising threat of waterborne diseases a gift that comes free with Tushar Giri Nath, IAS version of "rain-ready" infrastructure. The irony? This is the same city that flaunts its “global tech hub” tag. The same city being sold to the world as a destination for innovation and growth. But beneath the glossy billboards and fancy branding, Bengaluru is drowning literally and metaphorically. Every monsoon is a cruel reminder of how fragile this city is. Every rain exposes the ugly truth: BBMP has utterly failed its citizens. Year after year, the story doesn’t change only the headlines do. And yet, there’s no urgency, no vision, no basic sense of civic responsibility. So, here we are again: HSR Layout has become HSR Lake. Roads have turned into rivers. Cars now resemble boats. And BBMP is, as always, missing in action. If this is what "Brand Bengaluru" stands for, then it's time for a serious rebrand one that begins with some honesty, a functioning drainage system, and a government that actually shows up when it rains #bangalore #bengaluru #BangaloreRains #bengalurur #hsr Karnataka State Police S. Bengaluru’s Deadly Wires war zone Negligence That Could Kill You Anytime The horrifying incident yesterday on the Inner Ring Road (IRR), where a scooter rider got entangled in a hanging cable, is a serious reminder of the dangers lurking on our streets. Sadly, this is not an isolated case such incidents are becoming increasingly common across Bengaluru. A tangled web of loose, abandoned, and unidentified wires hangs dangerously over roads and footpaths, posing constant risks of accidents and even electrocution. Every day, commuters are forced to navigate these hazards, putting their lives at risk due to sheer negligence. The lack of accountability from authorities is deeply concerning. Despite repeated incidents, there has been no serious effort to fix the problem. Poor coordination between civic bodies and service providers has turned public infrastructure into a threat rather than a support system. It is unacceptable that a global city like Bengaluru, known for innovation and progress, continues to struggle with such basic safety issues. Along with illegal flex boards and poorly managed utilities, these hanging cables are making roads more dangerous day by day. Many accidents have already occurred due to this issue, and unless immediate action is taken, more lives will be at risk. Authorities must act now identify and remove unused cables, enforce strict regulations, and ensure proper maintenance. Bengaluru deserves safer roads. Negligence cannot continue at the cost of human lives. #bangalore #bengaluru #accident #irr Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS Greater Bengaluru Authority INTEGRATED COMMAND AND CONTROL CENTRE Karnataka State Police S.
