When one thinks of cricket and guitar, the first name that's most likely to pop up in your head is of Brett Lee. But a man who has had a far longer and deeper relationship with music, and guitar in particular, is former India coach John Wright. The New Zealand batter used to sing in the choir at his boarding school and had taken guitar lessons at the age of 10. While sports took centre stage soon in his life, music remained with him throughout his career. During his time with Derbyshire, he would often go to the local pub The Woodlark and play there. The guitar, in fact, remained a constant companion of Wright during his time with Team India as coach and he even wrote a number of songs in that 5 year period. He mentions in his autobiography about writing one of them sitting in a hotel room in Dhaka in 2004 on Christmas when he couldn't be with the family due to his work commitments, aptly titled Christmas Away Blues. After he was done with coaching, Wright decided to finally give time to music and from that came an album titled Red Skies in 2016. I’m all in on Washington CB Tacario Davis as a Day 2 swing for the fences pick. Ultra rare tools with 4.4 speed at 6’4 and 34” arms. It’s impossible to throw over the top on this guy. He’s a press man/cover 3 guy all the way. Like most of these taller corners, his lack of lateral fluidity gets him in trouble in off coverage. But just like K-State safety VJ Payne, this dude has one of the highest upsides at the position if put in the right scheme. I was high on Nahshon Wright coming out of Oregon State and Davis is in that same mold, just more athletically gifted.

Nick Wright says if Adam Silver plus the players union, plus the owners don’t take drastic massive measures in addressing how the NBA regular season has become essentially a boring precursor to its postseason the league can become the NHL faster them anybody could think: “I’m a big proponent of one of the ways to make the regular season matter more is you draft your playoff opponent. The number one seed gets to pick from teams 5 through 8 who the play in round one. And oh man, you had awesome season or a good season but your star player is out for a couple weeks and your the 5 seed well to bad, the number one seed picked you guys. Be better next year, get into that top 4. Then the 2 seed picks from the remaining teams, the three seed picks from remaining teams and then in round 2 it happens again. That would make the regular season matter more. They are other things you could do as far as truly penalizing teams not trying to win and truly penalizing teams sitting healthy players. And they’re real things you need to do to address why the Achilles and soft tissue injuries are so much rampant, about changing the rules of the game because the game is clearly becoming to much pace for players body’s. 21-year-old Bryce Eldridge just hit his 13th home run of the season and is starting at first base for the third consecutive game. On a losing team that is supposed to be focusing on future development, the choice should be obvious: play Eldridge at first base for the rest of the season. At a towering 6'7", Eldridge brings an incredible athletic profile to first base. His massive frame already gives infielders a vast, elite target to throw to, and he is proving to be a much better, more agile defender than Devers. The best part? At 21, he has immense room to grow as a player. As he gets older and fills out his 6'7" frame, he is going to put on actual muscle weight, making him even stronger with even more scary power. Looking at the stats, Eldridge's recent strikeout rate uptick puts him at 26.7%—virtually identical to Devers’ 26.6%. The fact that a rookie learning the league is already matching the strikeout production of an established veteran tells you everything you need to know about his high ceiling. Meanwhile, Rafael Devers continues to prove he is a "me-first" player rather than a "team-first" guy. At this point in his career especially with the massive bag he is being paid, he is best suited as a full-time DH. If he refuses to accept that role and demands to play first base over a rising star, it completely cements his selfish attitude. A true team player and veteran leader would do whatever it takes to help SFGiants win and let the youth develop. Instead, Devers brings zero leadership, routinely fails to run out pop-ups, and exhibits the exact same toxic, malcontent attitude that wore out his welcome in Boston and caused the Red Sox to ship him out. It’s time for the SFGiants to stop catering to an overpaid, selfish veteran. Move Devers to full-time DH, let the young 6'7" powerhouse develop at first base, and commit to the future. #SFGiants

The skill gap in Fortnite is NOT that massive! Arenas Boxfights has just officially exposed this. Day one as a Zero Build player I got 47 wins. If it was THAT hard I wouldn't have even gotten 1 win. Sure the top 0.000001% like Clix are actual keyboard ninjas and I literally wouldn't be able to even get 1 hit on them BUT the gap between me and say someone who's been building for a year or 3 is not that crazy. Give me a month and I'll start doing 1v1s. It's not hard.

Two points I’d like to comment on, being that Joel’s “church” is confessional 1689: Joel & friends said there is no restriction for polygamy in the NT, appealing to natural law as the standard. The 1689 and Scripture disagree: LBCF Chapter 25: Of Marriage, Section 1 Marriage is to be between one man and one woman; neither is it lawful for any man to have more than one wife, nor for any woman to have more than one husband at the same time.[1] [1] Gen 2:24, Mal 2:15, Matt 19:5-6 Joel also completely straw manned at the end, and he doubled down when pressed saying “it was not a strawman” that “it is permissible for a 5 year old boy who has made a credible profession and has been baptized to marry.” Is Joel a pedophile? Scripture and the Reformed faith disagree. It is not lawful, as a 5 year old *boy* is not able with judgement to give consent. They kept appealing to general revelation, except special revelation governs general revelation. Dan Orlovsky said the Bears least proven WR room in the NFL bc last year they had nobody top 70 in catches or top 50 in yards. He said the group is gonna have to improve or the Bears offense isn’t gonna be what people expect it to be. I think Dan Orlovsky does a great job, but this is where the spreadsheet misses the football. Yes, the Bears WR room is young. Using raw career catches and yards to call it a weakness is shortsighted. Rome Odunze missed 5 games and still finished with 44 catches 661 yards and six TDs. Luther Burden missed 2 games but if you watched the Bears you know his production was the tale of two seasons. He went from 24.4 YPG in his first 7 games to 60.1 over his final 8 which is a 1,022-yard pace. He also finished 3rd in the league in yards per route run. And if we’re evaluating weapons leaving out Colston Loveland is unfair. From Week 9 on, he had 47 catches 597 yards and 6 TDs. Those 597 yards ranked 2nd among all TEs. He then added 193 yards in 2 playoff games. They might be inexperienced but they’re not lacking talent. I think the pass-catching group as a whole is a strength of this roster. #DaBears #Bears

Agbo Adoga was discussed on Arise Tv this morning as they celebrated his achievements. Perfect SAT score and 84 global achievements at just 15 years old. He will be participating in these global competitions later this year and 2026: 1. ICSC 2025 2. IYMC 2025 3. I-STEM OLYMPIAD 2026 4. AMC12B 2025 5. SMC 2025 6. AMO 2025 7. CSMC 2025 8. EUCLID 2026 9. ROTARY MATHS 2026 10. SAMO 2025 11. PAMO 2026 12. IMO 2026 Interestingly he is one of the best soccer player and athlete in his school and have won different gold medals in sports. I call him a complete Wizkid!

I have finally come to the conclusion that the Bears will draft Caleb Williams, arguably the highest upside in a QB since Luck. But then I started seeing legit buzz on a QB I have watched the least. In my head, JJ McCarthy was average and there is no way he is going top 10. I couldn’t be anymore wrong than that. I am hearing he is going top 4 folks, and some believe he could go top 3. I won’t pretend like I have been high on McCarthy, but when I started watching his film, I was surprised at his poise, footwork, arm talent, and athleticism. He plays the game like a pro QB. This guy looks like a grown man playing QB among boys. But, I was puzzled at his lack of production. One thing I am learning when evaluating QBs is the fact that traits weigh just as heavily as production. Teams must factor in what a player is tasked to do and what a player is capable of doing. Harbaugh has coached JJ to play as efficient as possible. He plays far beyond his age and his game should easily translate to the pros. He has the arm talent to throw deep bombs, the athleticism to be complete dual threat QB, and the discernment to make the best use of his talents. He is efficient in managing a game and keeping the sticks moving. Point blank, this guy doesn’t give a damn about personal accolades or the spotlight. He is just a winner. He is tough as nails mentally and physically (he puts extra focus into mental health). He has that “IT” factor where teammates and coaches just believe in his will to win. He won 2 state championships at Nazareth Academy in Chicago and 1 at IMG academy. He led the Wolverines to an undefeated record and national championship. He is a hometown kid coached by a former Chicago Bears QB. Simply put, This is not a guy to overlook folks. He probably wants to be a Chicago Bear far more than any other player in this draft. He is a hometown kid coached by a former Chicago Bears QB. Simply put, This is not a guy to overlook folks. He probably wants to be a Chicago Bear far more than any other player in this draft. My 6 year old is very into drones. He has been saving up money for 3 weeks to buy one. He gets $5 per day if he: 1) makes bed 2) brushes teeth 3) gets dressed for school 4) brush hair 5) puts clothes in hamper 6) eats his dinner 7) cleans up before bed 8) gets pajamas on 9) brushes teeth This morning we go and get the drone. The 4 year old wants to buy a trumpet. They had to work an extra day to earn enough to give away some money and still buy their toys. That was a tough lesson. Next year we learn about taxes and saving.
