Oh, Florida — the ultimate Paved Paradise. Because apparently the state is far too busy converting itself into America’s premier toxic waste dump to bother addressing basic quality of life. Let’s run through the “features” that come with your Tax Dollars: FWC’s innovative aquatic weed “management”: Every year contractors spray hundreds of thousands of pounds of herbicides — including good old glyphosate (Roundup) — directly into lakes, rivers, and ponds across the state. Nothing says “pristine Florida waterway” like deliberately dosing public waters with the same chemical whose safety has been debated from Iowa cornfields to European courts. Efficient. St. Johns River toxic algae blooms, flowing north straight to Jacksonville and our Atlantic beaches. Official health warnings are crystal clear: Do not drink, swim, wade, boat, or jet-ski in visible blooms. Assume it’s toxic. That’s also understandable. Positive AND negative are equally valuable,else balance wouldn’t make sense. When balance is tipped to one side versus other,words like ‘disaster’show up as symptoms of imbalance.👩🏽‍💻
