@jonsopel @lewis_goodall It would also be the greatest failure of FPTP in history; delivering a far right candidate where at least 60% of the electorate support progressive parties

@jonsopel @lewis_goodall OMG - a final nail in our country's credibility and that of London as a global city. Please let this just be a total nightmare, please

@jonsopel @lewis_goodall It may well be closer than polling would suggest - particularly with the low voter turnout. But Khan will win. Then you will get all the ‘vote rigging scandal’ stuff from the Hall camp. très ennuyeux.

@jonsopel @lewis_goodall She is vile

@lewis_goodall @jonsopel Very worried about her . Proper white knuckle ride this is. It’s like a U.K. Trump moment

@jonsopel @lewis_goodall The outer suburbs will split their vote between Tory and Reform.

@jonsopel @lewis_goodall Polls predicted Houchen was in front. And that North Yorks would go Labour and East Midlands would go Labour. So don't think polls leads of between 10% and 22% for Khan are totally wrong is for real.

@jonsopel @lewis_goodall What's really funny is for all of the rumours, polling data, scaremongering and guess work, 90% of the country don't care who the mayor of London is. 🤷

@jonsopel @lewis_goodall Can't imagine the awful events at Hainault and the pile on blaming Sadiq has helped? He was 22 points clear and massive odds on favourite.

@jonsopel @lewis_goodall I think it will be closer than the polls suggest, maybe 5-7pts, and it will be all about ULEZ. People have hugely underestimated how much this has angered those in the outer boroughs.
