"If the Bears stick with Justin Fields Ryan Poles will have passed on three Heisman winners in a two year span.. If you're Eberflus and Poles you have to win next season and Justin Fields would have to play good football" ~ Dan Orlovsky #PMSLive

@danorlovsky7 Heisman QBs are rarely good in the NFL lol

@danorlovsky7 The only reason Justin didn’t win Heisman is because he had to compete against 2 of the greatest offenses of all time with Joe burrow in 2019 with LSU and Devonta smith and Bama in the Covid year (Justin played 7 games). It’s like y’all forget history.

@danorlovsky7 He forgot the part they’ll have a million picks to go get another QB if they want AND still have all the pieces they got from the initial trade

@danorlovsky7 Put everything you’ve worked for on an unproven 4th year QB who you will have to give $200+ million next year or draft a generational Heisman QB and reset the clock????

@danorlovsky7 Bears don’t need Caleb Williams. He’s overrated and only plays for himself.

@danorlovsky7 Surely Heisman QBs always do well in the NFL then right? Look how much Johnny Manziel and Troy Smith accomplished.

@danorlovsky7 No QB who has won the Heisman in the Super Bowl era, has ever won a Super Bowl for the team that drafted him. Plunkett won twice for the Raiders, but was drafted by the Patriots. Staubach won the Heisman prior to 1966, the beginning of the SB era.

@danorlovsky7 I’m cool with that!!!!

@LaVonteRogers @danorlovsky7 OMG, Justin would have to play well - no kidding! And so would Caleb, because this would not be a typical rookie QB situation Justin doesn’t have to improve and we can win with him. When he does b/c of good coaching, he will be a QB you win because of.

@kct2020 @danorlovsky7 Because we all know Heisman Quarterbacks translate to NFL success. Johnny Manziel, Danny Wuerffel, Chris Weinke, Matt Leinart, Tim Tebow, Marcus Mariota…. Should I start a thread and go on?
