“If they’re going to be here, then actually, why not be making a contribution while they’re here?” Lib Dem Sarah Olney says we must cut asylum processing times “urgently”, and allow asylum seekers to work while waiting to make use of their “professional experience” #bbcqt

The solution to crime is not legalising crime.

Yes, we must cut asylum processing times urgently: Declare a state of emergency. Blanket reject all asylum applications. Deploy the navy. Unauthorised entrants into UK waters to be considered enemy hostiles. Protect our border. Who is with me?

Professional experience? The vast majority have no qualifications of any kind. If they had something to offer us they would come via our legal immigration routes, which are among the most liberal in the world.

“If they’re going to be here…” That’s the problem, Sarah — we never wanted them here. We didn’t vote for this. We didn’t consent to this. We were never asked. You treat mass illegal arrival like bad weather — as if it just happened and now we must adapt. No. We don’t want them here. We want our borders back. We want our safety, our sovereignty, our say. “Professional experience”? The British people are struggling to eat. Our services are collapsing. And your answer is to fast-track economic incentives for illegal entrants? This isn’t compassion. It’s betrayal with a soft voice and a hashtag. We’ve had enough.

"professional experience" is @sarahjolney1 expecting 40k undocumented illegal migrants to start work in hospitals, vets and railway repair because they said thats what they did in the place they used to live in, but cant prove it, because yeah. no documents. speechless.

Allowing 'asylum seekers' (read illegal immigrants) to work would be another pull factor. This proposal would increase illegal immigration into Britain. Crossings are already 32% higher, when compared to the same period last year.
