This father had to go in the street to stop cars from passing a STOPPED school bus with extended stop signs so his daughter could get off the bus! Sad that people have to do this to get people to stop. Sometimes the law can vary by states but it is pretty standard. Seems more and more people aren’t paying attention or simply do not know the law when it comes to stopping for school buses. A few seconds or maybe a minute is worth it to keep our children safe. Do you know the law in your state when it comes to stopping for school buses at a stop with their stop signs extended ?

Thoughts and prayers have done nothing, it’s time to act. Gun violence is the leading cause of death for kids in this country. It doesn’t have to be this way. There are real actions that we all can take to prevent tragedies. We need to stop normalizing gun violence.

Today marks the anniversary of the horrific and preventable Uvalde school shooting that took the lives of 21 people, 19 of whom were children. After Uvalde, Democrats passed the most meaningful gun safety legislation in three decades, even though so much more needs to be done. Instead of building on this legislation, the GOP is trying to roll it back — choosing the gun lobby over our children.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar questioned FBI Director Kash Patel about how to prevent gun deaths in the country, asking whether an assault weapon ban would be helpful in reducing gun deaths. Patel said, "Whatever creativity we can use to eliminate even just one shooting, one horrific death, I am in favor of engaging with Congress fully to do." However, armed citizens *could* have a chance to mitigate it, instead of being proverbial fish in a barrel against a mad man.
