We have a commitment— from the start to finish —to take care of our service members and Veterans. That’s why Veterans Affairs is working closely with @deptofwar to make military transitions easier and get Veterans the benefits they’ve earned.

President Trump gave me one mission – take care of Veterans. I’m doing just that. From reducing the disability backlog to opening 33 new clinics to creating a National Center for Warrior Independence in LA for our homeless Veterans, we’re making sure our Veterans are getting the care and benefits they have earned.

Veterans are not victims – they raised their right hand, served their country and earned their benefits. Veterans Affairs is reaching out every day to enroll new Veterans and ensure they have access to the care and benefits they earned.

On the road in Dayton, OH today talking to the men and women serving our Veterans with Senator Jon Husted. Veterans kept their promise to America. We’re keeping ours by making sure VA is putting Veterans first and delivering the care and benefits they’ve earned.

Some of VA’s biggest challenges are red tape and outdated rules. Under President Trump, we’re cutting through the bureaucracy to make sure Veterans Affairs is providing the best possible service to Veterans.

Veterans didn’t sign up to be pawns in the Democrats’ political game. It’s time to end the government shutdown, so Veterans can get all the Veterans Affairs benefits and services they’ve earned. Elizabeth MacDonald

Right now, we don’t need “perfect.” We need to get the government back open so Veterans Affairs can provide Veterans all of the benefits and services they’ve earned.

We’re not waiting for Veterans to come to Veterans Affairs. We’re increasing outreach and going where they are — because too many Veterans who need our help never walk through VA’s doors.

Under President Trump, Veterans Affairs is more focused and efficient. Services are faster, customer service is better, and the backlog of Veterans waiting for VA benefits is down more than 45%.

Nothing is more perilous than to be on the cutting edge of change. No matter what our critics say, Veterans Affairs is changing to be the best it can be, and we’re proud to be working with National Coalition for Homeless Veterans to improve the way we help homeless Veterans.
