The removal of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue in Bollikunta, Warangal district, by the police is a highly condemnable and shameful act. This is yet another example of the Congress Govt's anti-Hindu mindset in Telangana. Time and again, Congress has chosen appeasement politics over respecting the faith and sentiments of the Hindu community. It is disgraceful that, instead of protecting the statue, the police detained BJP Karyakartas, Hindu organization leaders, and local villagers who peacefully opposed its removal. Chhatrapati Shivaji is an eternal symbol of valor, Hindu pride, the protection of Dharma, and national self-respect. Insulting his legacy is an insult to the sentiments of millions of Indians. If the Congress Govt continues to pursue its politics of appeasement while trampling upon Hindu sentiments, it should be prepared to face the wrath of the Hindu community.

Our Director, Lord Singh of Wimbledon spoke in a House of Lords debate yesterday, on Henry Nowak - with a response from Minister Lord Hanson of Flint Labour Peer & Minister 'My Lords, may I, on behalf of Britain’s peaceful, well-integrated Sikh community of half a million, express our deepest condolences to the family of the young murdered student. His murder is totally unforgivable. It was carried out by someone from the Sikh community who has an obsession with weapons. It has nothing to do with the kirpan that is legitimately worn by Sikhs. It was an offensive weapon with a blade of 23 cm. It was meant to harm and hurt, and we again express our deepest condolences. The other point I would like to make, which I would like the Minister to consider, is on media reporting. On Monday morning, I heard the BBC television news at 7 am. It constantly referred to the offensive weapon and mentioned “kirpan”. It needs to be made absolutely clear that the kirpan is a symbolic, token weapon of about five or six inches, worn under the clothes and not for use in any way. It is simply a reminder of the duty of Sikhs to stand up against social or political injustice. I really would like the Minister to consider the reporting of this event, because that reporting is food and sustenance for the extremists in our society.' #HenryNowak

The man has been drinking. Then, a police officer sends him to the back seat of the car and drives it himself. On February 9, 2024, Friday at 11.30 am, the Sangat of Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib, Nanded in Maharashtra has given a call to hold protest march against Government's direct interference in Sikh affairs and resent cabinet decision of Government of Maharashtra to make amendment in 'The Nanded Sikh Gurdwara Sachkhand Sri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib Act, 1956', to increase the influence of Government in the Nanded Gurdwara Board by decreasing the number of members of Sikh organisations. There is great resentment in the Sikh world against the resent decision by the state Government. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee appeals to Chief Minister (CM) of Maharashtra Shri Eknath Sambhaji Shinde Eknath Shinde - एकनाथ शिंदे and Deputy CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis Devendra Fadnavis @OfficeOfDevendra, to listen to the sentiments of the Sikh community and immediately withdraw their Government's cabinet decision to distort the 'Nanded Sikh Gurdwara Act of 1956', and ensure the composition of the Nanded Gurdwara Board as earlier and conduct the due elections at the earliest. This sacred Takht, sanctified by Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji, belongs to the Sikh Panth. No government has any right to impose control over it. We urge the Maharashtra Govt & CM Sh. Devendra Fadnavis to immediately withdraw this proposal and not take any step that conflicts with the sentiments of the Sikh Sangat.

Former CM and MP Charanjit Singh Channi has urged the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) to withdraw its action against employees over presenting a siropa to Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi. Channi said Rahul Gandhi has been visiting Sri Harmandir Sahib like a true devotee, which the Sikh community has appreciated. He added that the Ardas for flood-affected people was done by the Granthi only at Rahul Gandhi’s request. Citing that an apology for the 1984 Sikh massacre has already been made, Channi said the community should not punish Rahul Gandhi for the mistakes of his elders, as he was just a child at that time.

The most disturbing part of this video isn’t just the violence, it’s hearing the sacred words from the Sikh holy scriptures being spoken during such an act. Just like in extremist circles where some recite Islamic verses before a brutal act, here too we see something deeply twisted: pious Sikh words being misused while committing violence. This is not Sikhism. This is a disgrace to the Guru’s message of peace, justice, and honour. Metropolitan Police must act, and so must the local gurdwaras. We can’t stay silent.
