in my opinion if it resets the pitch of the trick sound it should count as resetting the counter

I think clouds could count but I definitely think most will say the wall disqualifies this.

They absolutely count. It's one sequence without landing on normally- driveable ground. Also Shy Guy sounds rather rhythmic.

It is, but not outside a minigame. It’s where it gives you two feathers, but it doesn’t let you keep your items afterwards.

You’d get more tricks by going to the top of Rosalina’s ice world and use the glider, no?

Tricking off a glider has a much longer cooldown.
