If we saw “Lost Ancient Technology” would we recognize it? This object was pulled from the seabed at the sunken port of Thonis-Heracleion in Egypt. Noted as a scepter the relic displays multiple features of some kind of drive shaft. I could think of multiple mechanical functions for this object.

On April 27th at about 10:40 PM GMT, I was in the International Space Station Cupola and saw something really neat. I was scanning the sky to try to catch a glimpse of the approaching Progress MS-34 vehicle bringing new supplies. Just as we were passing over West Africa, I saw a bright object directly below us, streaking through the upper atmosphere. I saw its tail grow and then split apart into a shower of smaller pieces. I think it must have been some piece of orbital debris or a satellite breaking up as it entered the atmosphere. It was quite a light show!

There is another strange phenomenon, which I call the "tippe top" in space. A spinning object will keep flipping its center-of-mass from left to right, or up and down, at periodic intervals like for a pendulum clock, even when there is no sideways or downward force of gravity. If we look closely at slow-motion video 3, we can see how that T-shaped object flips from one orientation (or location) to another by "precession", just like for Eric Laithwaite's gyroscopes of the 1970's. Previously I suggested that spin-precession cancels the curvature of space through time locally, so that it feels no "downward force of gravity". Out in space, there is no net "downward force of gravity" (nothing to cancel), yet still the spin-precessing object flips back and forth at regular intervals! So what causes that spin-precessing object, out in space, away from any downward gravity, to FLIP? It must be "pushing against the vacuum". First it pushes one way, and then it pushes the other way, over and over again. This is very interesting, because it we could make it flip one way, but not the other way, over and over again, we would have "UFO propulsion". RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES
