If you are currently raising children, Remember this..

i’m living these moments right now. trying not to blink.

I try to remind myself of this everyday. And I know this gentleman is telling the truth.

20 years ago one of my sons drew on a fireplace mantel with an orange magic marker. I left it. Last week a new housekeeper came in to help me deep clean. I went into the room to answer a question and she showed me that she cleaned it off for me. I hung my head and cried. 😢

This is why even if my back shoulder knee hurts I still pick up my daughter no matter what cause very soon she won’t need me to carry her anymore! 💔

Incredibly true. And when they do disappear, they will forever tug at your heart strings.

When my son was a toddler he had tree sap on his hands. I still have perfect handprints on my wall from that day.

my mother complained about buying me clothes and shoes all the time. she grew up in a household with 15 bothers and sisters. to her mind, she just got hand me downs. it didn't dawn on her that her parents had to buy or MAKE all of that many many times over. I shot up from nothing to almost 5 ft by age 9. Imagine the changes my body was making daily.

I don't miss the messes. AT ALL. In fact, my youngest will be a senior next year, I've done my job and am looking forward to the next chapter.

you should be helping raise your grand children too so not much time to miss this

It's true! When you are done with the kids? If you are lucky you'll get grand kids. They'll wear you out too! Then they grow up. So now you've done it twice... Don't blink....
