I like to believe that deep down most people don’t enjoy being the reason for someone else’s pain. Sometimes we cost others pain without meaning to. It’s good to always approach the situation with kindness & to remind the other person that there is someone better suited for them.

Exactly. Most don’t fall for the person, they fall for the version they created in their head. Real love begins when the illusion dies and the choice remains.
