“Lack of knowledge, my people persish” “Prosperity preacher”? Lol. Well, as for me, for the sake of the Kingdom of God, loved ones and family, I will not be poor. It takes finances to lift the name of Jesus to the nations. And yes, he’s right, being poor is a choice, mostly.

Jesus adores poverty much more than being wealthy so this preaching technically isn’t christ-like 💀 “If you truly love jesus, don’t be poor” is quite contradictory to Jesus himself saying it’s harder for a rich man to enter heaven Pick a damn struggle!

Hypocrites all over Twitter, working so hard so they are not poor yet villifying a preacher for reaffirming to them why they shouldn't be poor! Hear Apostle Paul. 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 TLB This should be your ambition: to live a quiet life, minding your own business and doing your own work, just as we told you before. [12] As a result, people who are not Christians will trust and respect you, and you will not need to depend on others for enough money to pay your bills. Again Ephesians 4:28 TLB If anyone is stealing he must stop it and begin using those hands of his for honest work so he can give to others in need. You can't give to people when you have nothing to give, poverty cannot fund anyone! This is exactly what the preacher is saying! You have your own money so you can serve God without limitations that poverty brings! If you want poverty for you and your household, own it, and stop branding every preacher who advocates for prosperity a heretic, when in fact you know you don't want to be poor!

Gosh. The prosperity gospel is no gospel. What God wants are the beautiful feet of those who preach the gospel of peace (Romans 10:15). This sermon is awry and also very capitalist because it thrives on the minds of the have-nots (do they not deserve God, too?)

Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” Matthew 8.20 prosperity gospel is a false gospel

I don’t think anyone wishes to be poor but to say this as if riches is a must to prove you love Jesus is certainly a demonic doctrine. Anyone who listens to this false teacher listens at their own peril. His teachings are certainly demonic.

What do you say about Zech 1:17? A poor man may want to do so much for God but will be limited due to poverty. Apostle Selman only admonishes, so I don't think that's wrong. Both father Abraham and the poor Lazarus made it to heaven right. Personally, I choose after the order of Father Abraham. There are so many unsaved souls out there in sickness and abject lack, I believe it would be easier to first meet their needs in any capacity, then introduce the gospel if Jesus Christ to them. Doing vigils and house fellowships are easier when you own the house. To buy a megaphone, speakers and the common shekere needs money. The bible says the poor shall not cease from the land Deuteronomy 15:11. We will always have the poor, but one can choose not to be in the number, as how would their needs get to be met if everyone is poor. There is so much to do with funds, time as we eagerly await the 2nd coming of our saviour. Mary Slessor wasn't a poor person. How could she have travelled to Calabar if she were that poor? These are my opinions, though.
