All this carbs/wheat is unhealthy talk, Germany and Italy must not have got the message.

Bread, i.e. carbohydrates, and cold cut, i.e. processed meat, are useless for breakfast. 4 eggs, 2dl natural greek yoghurt, and a banana would be 10 times better.

While we were in Munich, I ate a pretzel for breakfast everyday. I miss Munich.

(Abends dann wieder Brot ^^)

This is %100 accurate. I visited Germany once. I stayed with a Native family. They had like a 12 slot toaster. Meat, jam, and cheeses on toast for breakfast. It was good. I got turned on to Gouda cheese before it was really a thing in the US (2002.)

You gave away your passport. Is it because you said you are leaving Germany? That's recycling to the next level. 🫡

Someone smuggled me a 2 day old pretzel from a German airport. The fricken airport. And it was still the best baked good I’d ever had.

Bro, Brotzeit doesn't make any sense to me even as a Dutchman, and our national snack is broodje kaas 🤣

you can't take away bread from Germany. In any group of 10 Germans there is at LEAST one who can bake decent bread. Many even have their own household-sized grain-mill and there are thousands of individual sourdoughs in private households some of them centuries old.
