Showed it to my son. It's so true, it's why we're so hurt when they get annoyed. They're our babies even while we teach them to be strong men, they will always be the babies we held in our arms that we love with everything we have.

I told my son (now 26) that every time I talk to him, my mind sees him at three years old walking the the house with his arms behind him pretending to fly. That is all I will ever see.

It's sad they don't all realise until we tell them, I guess when they become parents they'll understand more. Mines the same age lol loved it when he was three, that's the age when he'd want to splash in puddles lol. Best thing we got to do is be their mom's/mums.

I lost my Mom, and am so glad that I called her on her Birthday (day before), to wish her well, and let her know that I loved her. I was at work, on break, and didn't really have time for a long talk, but thought of her and wanted her to know it. You only get one... 🥲

Yup, parents will always see their children as the little girls and boys the carried as babies. Understanding that more now that I have my own kid 🥹🥹

I'm not crying!!! 🥹😭 All of this is true. She will always see you as the sweet little boy she held in her arms for the first time. Always! She will never stop wanting to make sure you're safe, loved, and taken care of, her heart always needs to make sure you’re okay, no matter how old you are! I will never stop being a mom to my babies. I will of course respect their space and boundaries as they grow but I will always see them as my little babies and be there for them.

This hits hard, even harder when your mom is no longer here. Wow. Everyone needs to see this, it may just change how you treat your parents, before they're gone.

I was the only girl between two brothers and you would think I would the “princess” nope they were spoiled. My mother babied them obsessively. You know what happened? They became so dependent that it stunted their emotional growth. Neither have married the mother of their children nor supported them. Me…. I am the only one to graduate from college. Married and have 3 beautiful daughters. So mothers of boys: please be sure to teach them how to be amazing, strong Men with integrity.

I left for Parris Island at 17, mere weeks after graduating high school. When my Mom saw me in September, I was in a Marine uniform, my bearing had been permanently changed. It shocked her. Love ❤️ you Mom.

Yes...Blessed when you have a mom that is like that. Some of us had Aunties, Big Sisters, or Grandmas that did that job.

All of this. Mine is off to college. Last night, my phone rang after midnight and woke me up. It was him, panicking because it appeared he had unauthorized charges on his account. I didn't get mad, I woke up, walked him through the issue, then sent him some money for a run to get food. After I hung up, I smiled and just thought to myself, he still needs me. He's still my little boy, and always will be. 🥰

Damn this just made me miss my mom terribly. It's been 11 years (February 25th) since she died. She was my only parent, so it has cut like a thousand knives to miss her every minute of that 11 years. Without her it's almost as if my childhood has no record.

I remember my sons when they were little but it's not what I see when I look at them. I see them as grown men and I cherish them as they are now maybe a little more than I cherish the memories of who they once were, because they're maturing into their full selves.

Profilbild von mommy4ever

There are plenty of spoiled mama’s boys in the world, we don’t need more. Mothers are not owed anything because they were mothers to their sons. Appropriate boundaries change as the child grows into an adult.

They always need you. Mine are 3 and 5 and they are my world. I don’t want to be their world when they’re older. I want them to live their life with no obligation to me. But I how they get to an age when they realise this. I hope I’m alive to see it
