If you're Ethereum, Bitcoin, or any digital payment systems, if you don't have power, you got nothing. What I did recently is I sold twenty-seven crypto positions and just kept BTC and ETH, because the analysis is clear. You get ninety-seven percent of the entire crypto market's vol in two positions. You don't need anything else. The rest is all poo-poo. I took that capital and invested it in infrastructure, and that includes BitZero. The next five years, for me, it's all about the power.

And then there was this open question — should you invest in the core protocols like Bitcoin and Ethereum, or invest in startups?" "Obviously in hindsight, the answer was both." "I think it's a lot like the AI landscape now, with this question of — do you own the model companies, or do you own the application layer on top? In 2018, Bitcoin and Ethereum were like OpenAI and Anthropic, and those are the things to own."

Usually when there was a correction in the market all of the alt coins and there are thousands of them, would have a large correction but they would bounce back. This time, they're not bouncing back and the reason that is occurring is very simple. Investors have figured out you only need to own two positions to capture 97.5% of all the alpha of all crypto. That's Bitcoin itself and Ethereum. If you own those two, it doesn't matter what happens anywhere else because everything else is moving with a much higher vol to the downside and not recovering anymore because they have no use case.

Bitcoin just took another brutal correction, down 50%, and no, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this movie. But something bigger is happening underneath the price action. Back in October when everything melted, Bitcoin got slaughtered and the rest of the market was wiped out, some coins down 80–90% and they never recovered. Why? Because institutions finally did the math and realized if you want 90% of the upside and volatility in crypto, you only need Bitcoin and Ethereum. Everything else is just poo poo coins, worthless, and they got dumped accordingly. I’m still long Bitcoin, but there’s a new concern floating around now, quantum computing. The idea that a quantum computer could eventually break the chain is making institutions hesitate, and until that gets resolved, don’t expect them to go beyond a 3% allocation. They’ll stay cautious, they’ll stay disciplined, and they’ll wait for clarity. That’s the reality.

I don’t think people understand how insanely bullish this chart is. $ETH will go parabolic. And when it does, That’s a green light for our altcoins. Sentiment is crushed. Trillions on the sidelines waiting for Clarity. Timing is lining up. Trump. BlackRock. Banks. Governments. Institutions. All openly building a blockchain-based financial system. It’s only a matter of time before crypto does what it always does next. Crypto doesn’t need your belief to take over. But they need you to sell. I usually do the opposite of what the masses are doing. That’s how I bought every bottom and sold every top over the last 10 years. If you still haven’t followed me, you’ll regret it.

I ask myself, “What do I buy that is really the picks and shovels? And what do I buy that is actually a direct ownership of the tech equivalent to, let's say a stable coin or Bitcoin itself?" My conclusion has been if I wanna play the long-term, the next five years or even 10 years in AI, I need to own data centers. I need to own real estate where data centers are built. I need to own power contracts that power the data centers. I've seen this movie so many times before, once you convinced as an investor that this is gonna be here for a while.

It was referred to as anonymous in every news story. And in some ways, it is very private and very anonymous. But the truth is that it’s also extremely trackable and traceable. It is not private in reality. And the question is, should it have been from the start? And at first I thought, yes, it should have been more private. And that was a mistake in its design. However, I think if Bitcoin had been anonymous truly from the start, like a Zcash or a Monero, it would have had such antagonism from the state. I don’t know that the state could have snuffed it out, but they would have tried much harder. And I think it’s actually good, from the Trojan horse metaphor perspective, that it was traceable enough that the traditional institutions could tolerate it. They’ve never liked it, but they could at least tolerate it because there is some traceability. And that has allowed Bitcoin to grow. And I think in its shadow, that other crypto assets are actually anonymous is very healthy. The strength of cryptocurrency as a concept in society, I think, is served best when Bitcoin itself is not perfectly private, but other assets are. That is a very difficult thing, I think, for the state to combat. And that decentralization of attributes is really, really crucial. So, yeah, I’m very glad that there are other coins that are private. I want there to be more of them, and I want them to be more popular. And I think it’s okay that Bitcoin itself is not.”

I like to own the infrastructure as well as the assets. If you're gonna own Bitcoin, back then, why wouldn't you own the entity that mines Bitcoin? But really, Bitzero, has changed so much since my original investment. It's a power company. It's agnostic to who uses its power. You can mine Bitcoin, you can mine Ethereum, or you can build a data center, or build an AI compute. It doesn't matter. They're a power real estate company, and you don't have to guess the winners and losers in AI anymore. You're not going anywhere without power. All roads lead to Bitzero.
