This one CSS property will fix your z-index headache. In CSS, a child element with z-index will overlap with any fixed or floating elements outside its container. Instead of stacking higher and higher values to fix it. Use this instead: .card-container { isolation: isolate; } With that, any elements with z-index inside the container will be contained. I've been testing with an unreleased WIP LTX 2.3 LoRA by LDWorks and among other things it enables some of the best performance transfer I've seen so far. It has some ghosting issues, but for a one-shot generation with no masking or pose data it's pretty impressive!

It's cool. But the issue is that the result is arguably too much code from using "no code" 🙃 It could be a basic <ul> with CSS scroll-snap. Then the buttons use JavaScript's Element.scrollIntoView 🤙 Instead, it's <div>s, JS powered animation, and not a <button> in sight 🫠

Jump–Jump–Stick! One of my favorite plyometrics for pro athletes is the Triple Broad Jump is a teaching tool disguised as a power test that transfers directly to the 40-yard dash. It trains athletes to push the turf back, project the hips, and repeat horizontal force with rhythm and posture - just like the first 10 yards of the 40. The 40 isn’t one big push; it’s repeated projections. If you can’t link power for three jumps, it’ll show up on the clock. Train power you can repeat. 💥

“Driving Tori Crazy” was inspired by a running joke in the Victorious writers’ room that some of the cast members from Victorious (and iCarly) refused to get their driver’s licenses. The episode was a playful nod to that joke. It became a Victorious episode rather than an iCarly episode because Schneider had already made a driver’s license storyline for Drake & Josh and didn’t want to repeat the same concept too many times.

As i was about going inside to make ablution for magrib, i saw this one at the window side towards the side of the wardrobe, not even sure if it's just entering but there was no hole or space at the window, quickly took a mop stick to start hitting it with many miss, as it was trying to go into hiding beside the wardrobe i know if it escape, its going to be a long ride with no other option i used my hand to hold its tail gentle drag it back to the middle of the room then i quickly picked a shoe to finish it up.. We are the people of AlhamdulillLlah 🤲 PS : was too shocked to even remember commanding it to leave the room 😂

Most recent diffusion language model research (that I’ve seen) seems to be using masking as the noising process. It looks like, however, most closed-source models (Google Gemini Diffusion and possibly Inception Labs’ Mercury) use a different noising process, where instead of masking tokens, they replace them with different tokens (either with a random token or a semantically similar token). I wondered how they were getting such high throughput with the latter noising process, since I believed that optimizing inference with KVCache approximation would be more difficult (for various reasons). I visualized this noising process with tiny-diffusion and compared it to normal unmasking, and was very surprised to see how fast the generation “settles” into a reasonable output, and then only slightly refines afterwards, requiring much fewer steps in total. Unmasking (where tokens are never remasked, the typical implementation) is inherently limited in generation speed by the fact that an increase in tokens decoded per step leads to more errors due to the mismatch between individual and marginal token probability distributions we sample from. The token replacement noising process seems to have a much different set of characteristics. Because we sample each token per step, every token makes “progress” towards the final output each iteration (in addition to *potentially* giving other tokens more information in future steps). Generally, masking has outperformed other noising processes, which is probably why most research focused on it (using smaller models). But the paper referred to in the retweet shows that random replacement as a noising process may scale better as model size increases. Big labs might have noticed these results much earlier (due to having drastically more training resources and being able to test larger models), which may explain the discrepancy in the choice of noising process. I’m gonna test this with larger models, since tiny-diffusion only has 10M parameters.

Trump says he is reducing his deadline for Russia from 50 days, to 10-12 days from now. Trump threatened to slap 100% tariffs on Russian imports if a deal is not done. I’m not sure what Trump has up his sleeve, but it appears he is preparing to make a move on Russia/Ukraine. To me, it looks like Trump is preparing the Art of the Deal. He is starting to give public deadlines, accelerating timelines, masking his moves, and perhaps engaged in a level of theater. I’m not sure what Trump has cooked up, but whatever it is, it’s coming. This Russia/Ukraine conflict has to end eventually.

Enjoy this journey while you can. There will be a day when you don’t have anyone to throw with or lift with or play pickup racquetball and then hit the sauna after with. There will be a day when you can’t immediately roll from your workout into breakfast/lunch/dinner with 8 of your best friends. There will be a day when disputes cannot be settled with a game of madden, 2K or the show. You will realize that showing up late for work pales in comparison to the fear you had about showing up late to the field or the weight room. You can say that you’ll still train hard, keep yourself in shape, hold YOURSELF accountable. It’s easy to say when you have a goal you’re working towards with a collective group. But when you don’t have that, damn it gets hard. So enjoy it. Take advantage of the time and the energy. For some guys it happens after 6 years of pro ball. For others it happens after 4 years of college. But it will leave you. Let me repeat that: IT WILL LEAVE YOU AND IT SUCKS WHEN IT DOES.
