You know what’s also insane? Losing to the 2 worst teams in the big ten when you were expected as a lock for the playoffs. Like really Josh, how much further could we fall? One more win this season is an upgrade, cause my expectation with James at the wheel after Northwestern was 0. I’m not joking.

@FanDuel What does an upgrade even mean? JF Franklin time is up. He couldn’t get the big job done. His name is still huge. If you want a bigger name than there are 5 guys? The upgrade will take time to play out.

@FanDuel The problem is do you take a chance on some hot young coordinator who hasn’t even had a HC job in a lower tier conference An tons of guys are getting fired at mid Major schools like Virginia Tech and so forth so unless you can get somebody to make a lateral move I don’t know ?

@FanDuel First team ever to lose back to back weeks when favored by 20+ points. Also James Franklin is an average coach and got elevated by being at Penn state. When he had to play top 10 teams at Penn state he was 4-21, and only 17-26 against top 25 teams.

@FanDuel I think he’s right. I think the NIL era is kinda different, like you have to recruit your own team every single year. With coaching changes and the transfer portal, your team can go from a below expectations 8-4 to a team hoping to break .500 the next year.
