If you've ever lost your entire OBS setup, Elgato made a really cool plugin that I feel nobody's talking about. You can backup your entire scene collection - including the images, videos, transitions etc. - and bundle it in a single file to restore later.

It's called Elgato Marketplace Connect, made a whole video explaining how it works if you're interested. ▶️

Thanks for making this video. Can you make me a scene collection so I can be as cool as you please?

you can just backup your obs folder to google drive and paste it back in. i use secondary drives to save my config.. so if windows gets reinstalled i just copy and paste it and move on as if nothing happened. still gotta re-select devices but the actual setup is the same.

Man, this would have been handy about 5 weeks ago.

obs scene collections and folder paths are exportable, there are even obs plugins. you’re right tho, the team should standardize a exported zip function with media

Yes, one such plugin is the one I mentioned in this video.

I have it backed up, but I also stopped using @OBSProject and now use @StreamWithMeld full time. I'd rather support an awesome team of devs and an awesome program!!!

Bookmarked for later. THANKS!!

Or, you can make it easier and use OBS's built-in features to export your scenes and all settings to Google Drive or whatever you use

Doesn't export media files. I explained this in like the first 15 seconds of the video.
