Swatantra objected and struck the phone. CJP workers and Sanjay then attacked Swatantra, knocked him to the ground and beat him. The Nihangs have said that the protest should remain peaceful and that such violence has no place in it. They may withdraw their support for the CJP protest, as they have repeatedly said that some people at the protest are consuming drugs, something they say they cannot support.
