Going from matt cassel to Alex smith was an amazing upgrade

I interviewed JD Martinez, one of the best hitters in baseball. He went from being cut by the worst team in baseball to becoming an All-Star – in an unconventional way (that everyone can learn from). Check out the interview here:

Is this every ball he threw 20+ yards in his Chiefs career?

If we'd have had Spags or a better defense Reid would've had 1 or 2 more titles before Mahomes. Alex Smith was good. And a great mentor to Mahomes.

Agreed. Once he finally got some stability in coaching (coming to KC) you could see him develop into a very competent QB. Makes you wonder what could have been if he had Andy the whole time.

Alex used to throw some dimes! I miss him wish he coulda got a ring

He stabilized the franchise. We would not have a dynasty without him

That patriots game (when the pats were handing the banner), i really thought that was the best 11 we’d ever seen. Once they started attacking deep with 10 or opened everything up for Alex. Really sad he didn’t get a ring.

I’m remember when Reid went after Alex Smith and my first thought was, “another 49er QB?” And then my immediate next thought was…”this could work.” Alex did his job and was a major reason this organization started to gain steam again. He handled everything like a true pro.

Always sad smith never got a ring. Just an outstanding class act qb and warrior to do what he did to come back after that injury.

Living in NorCal, I like to remind Niner fans of how A-Smitty played a key role in Mahomes’ development and that if they hadn’t actively tried to wreck his career and kept him in SF maybe they’d have a couple more rings. The football gods believe in karma.
