I'll be the first to admit that I probably would have really enjoyed this game in a fucked up and evil way. Hilarious art wise to make realistic Mega Man but the gameplay always looked like it kicked ass.

Do I think this looks like peak gaming? No but I think X's mechanics look fun and I like how stuff like the grenade works. Safe to assume the final game would've added more to enemies/weapons etc. This game is a stupid idea to begin with but I miss 7th gen dumbness sometimes.

Mega Man but it's halo 4

At least this had being a goofy spinoff going for it unlike Halo 4

The way you described this game is exactly why I love the Bionic Commando reboot/sequel from 2009

I'm not seeing gameplay. I'm seeing shooting at static targets while a janky over the top execution animation plays.

I want to disagree, and I can but this is maybe the funniest response that could've been sent so I'll just say touché.

I feel like there's a lot of untapped potential in an FPS Mega Man game. This may not be the way to do it, obv, but I think it can be done if done right.

What an era, reminds me that a Hyper "realistic" Bomberman exists Bomberman Act Zero

I don't like the mask covering his face.. entire thing is odd..

I like the X shape on the mask but I mostly shudder to think what Zero might have looked like in this art style.

there's something interesting and intriguing to be said about the metroid prime-ification of megaman in this and i honestly genuinely weep and grieve the fact that we lost this the game itself may have sucked, but at least we have the footage that gets the point across

idk why people treat this so weirdly when it worked for metroid

Metroid had the benefit of having an art style and direction that mostly didn't need to evolve drastically to work in the setting, stuff had more detail but was generally as they were in 2D. In contrast this has an ironman-ification of the games identity going on with it.

There's a case to be made that this mostly was following 7th gen trend of "gritty" reboots of games that didn't really need them (see Bomberman below, lmao). It just so happens that this one is at least a bit more interesting looking than most of the others.

Mighty No. 9 got nothing on this masterpiece

If this had Doom 2016 game play, shit would of actually went hard even if it ain't Mega man lol

I dunno, man. This was the Crapcom era. It might have been terrible or a 4/10 at best.

It's honestly kind of a dice roll for 7th gen Capcom specifically. I love Lost Planet 2 (it's been ages since I've played 1 sadly) and Dead Rising for instance. I don't see this being in a position to have become a Remember Me for them (anyone else remember Remember Me?)

Having played Lost Planet 1 recently, it's unfortunate how much lost potential it had (4/10 game) and it seems this build of Maverick Hunter had some of the same issues, namely enemy design being non-threatening. (Lost Planet 2 is dope, though.)

Make the art style just slightly more anime and cartoony, bam, great game. I would have played the hell out of this. Still a big believer that the series should have went 3D platformer

I love the edginess but yea it's a Focus M moment lol

looks like Metroid primes aborted sibling

This was the metroid prime guys at their peak right, I'm still sad it got cancelled and I dont even care about megaman. I LOVE the fake face hologram thing.

MegaMan: Doom 2016

Megaman if it didn’t suck

This would have healed me

Mega Man X Prime

Same

The thing i dislike about this is not the realistic looking character or the gameplay, its the fact that Mega man is using normal bullet and realistic rocked launcher etc just to make it different than Metroid prime(which is stupid if you asked me).

I’m really fuckin wit this
